I was born in the US in 1969 to Canadian (born in Canada) parents. My parents obtained a certificate of Canadian citizenship card for me when I was born. I have lived in the US my whole life. Am I still a citizen?

I have two children, born in 2000 and 2004, both born in the US. Are they citizens or can I apply for them to be citizens?

Thanks! 8)

Because the Laws have been changed several times since 1969 and all the other dates you quoted,It will be advisable for you to contact experienced Canadian immigration Lawyers to help explain what is workable in line with current Laws.

As far as I know, they never had any requirement to live in Canada once you were registered as a citizen so you were registered, got your citizenship certificate and you should still be a citizen. As for your children, they should be citizens too because they were born before 2009. You can apply for their certificates here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof-how.asp
