Alternative to experience certificate

Hi Dears
Unfortunately I do not have my 2 previous company's work experience certificate . I have ones offer letter and other ones labour contract with me. Current experience I can provide. Please anyone suggest me how to do this. I want to apply through express entry.

Ask a former colleague/manager to write a letter in plain paper and provide proof that they work at such company.

What kind of proof. I have labour contract in that period.
