Almost Impossible to get through CIC by phone

We called once and my hubby had to sit and redial forever to get through.

I used to get through first 1 or 2 tries, I would call them mid week first thing in the morning as soon as the office opens, they are least busy then.

As a citizen, I am starting to get REALLY frustrated with this department of government. Nothing but vagueness, ultra slow processing times and little to no contact with the public.

The beginning of the week is the worse time to call. I seem to have the most luck on Thursdays around lunch.

Ultra slow processing times is mostly based on the application.And as a lot of what happens in an app is done by outside companies,ie criminal checks,medicals.And the only one you can blame for slow times is either yourself or the country you are from,when the visa office puts out a request its your country that is the hold up on geting back to the visa office.The more the visa office has to put your app down because of something the applicant did or the country not communicating quickly slows a process.
Also i will throw something out there,people can comment till they are blue in the face.The reason Canada and the US accept so many immigrants is because once your here you pay taxes.The more that get in the more money the government collects.So if your app is straight forward without any kinks in it the time is pretty quick.usually faster than the posted times.
So like i said the only one you can blame for slow processing times is your country or yourself,the visa office can only work with what you give them.
