We applied for Canada work visa in last year December but still it says “review of eligibility has not started yet and the background check in process”

These days how many months does it takes for work Visa to process?

Thank you

Which country did you apply from? Was it an LMIA supported work permit?

wife’s Company applied for the visa, they want to send her to their Canada office, country is Sri Lanka

Posted processing time for Sri Lanka is currently 35 weeks however this is for prioritized occupations. So assuming your wife's occupation isn't prioritized then it's very normal to be waiting longer.

Thanks a lot, since it says review of eligibility has not started yet, is that a standard recording for all the applicants or they haven’t reviewed the eligibility? If so any idea how many more months this will take ?

I don't know how many more months it might take. Suggest reading through the ICT threads in the Foreign Workers section of the forum to get an idea of processing times others are experiencing. I'm making the assumption your wife's company is trying to being her here on an ICT.
