Finally, some progress!! But this is a bit strange (the date)

Just checked my ECAS and noticed a SLU (Second line update)
here's the weird thing though it says "Started processing your application on Dec 17, 2014" (application recvd date - Oct 14, 2014)

Has anyone got a 2nd line updated saying theyre application had started processing 8 months ago? and were updated 8 months later?

What should i make of this? that my application's being held up/Put away?

anyone face a similar situation - would appreciate your feedback. Thank you.

I also got my second line update today "We started processing your Application on 7 January 2015"
I am just happy they didn't forget about my application and finally got around to it ;D

A day of updates in my case. First got the standard reply for the CSE and now got the SLU.

"We started processing your application on January 16, 2015"

PER date is February 13th so not sure about the date but at least have something to look forward to.

got slu today start processing your file on 12 jan 2015 .per date 20-jan -2015.One thing i have notice all of us who got the slu recently with back dated date have not ask for photo request by cic .Correct me if i'm wrong .Most of the photo requested people in feb got their medical.Just personal assumption

Hi all,

I think Accra Visa office is sleeping here.

I got SLU as 'Medicals Received on...... that was in early August

I have no further update since then and am just wondering what is going on.

Is there anyone with similar issues.

The wait is over!!!!! (At least the biggest one)

LBM emailed me an hour ago. Asked me for the following:
1: MR, plus i got a separate email with the medical forms
2: updated forms
3: Kuwait PCC (I live in Kuwait and had sent them my PCC last year)
4: RPRF payment

Wow, i cant explain what it feels! All i know is that I can't wait to go back to Toronto. I know, 1 step at a time. I'm just way too excited right now.
I wish all of you the best, and stay hopeful. I never raised a CSE, i just stayed hopeful and waited. And i had some bad news come in yesterday so this couldn't have come at a better time. Good luck everyone! And thank you to those who helped answer my queries when i needed answers.

back date PER is the new way now.
and yes you should get your MR request soon. i got mine in a weeks time from SLU. good luck!!

I'm a HKVO applicant and got SLU last Friday Aug. 21st, with processing date back to Jan 15 2014. My application filing date is Oct 28 2014. Hope I can get MR soon.
