Hi everyone,

SO I have a problem here now, pretty serious!

I got the email from Ottawa for settlement funds. As per my knowledge, anyone residing in Canada ( I am on a work permit for last 1.5 years) do not require to show funding.

I have been on post-grad work permit since 2013 and worked for 1 year in NOC C and now in NOC B for last 6 months.

I genuinely do not have 11,000 in my account currently. Any suggestions please.

I was supposed to let you know about my BOWP status. I just got the approval today. In case if you forgot, I was Jan 15 applicant.

Additionally, I have received MR. Probably, that would be for my PR application. All the best for your BOWP.

may I ask you if you had a work permit which was due to expire in 4 months.
I have no work permit but I am in Canada as a student. Got my PER so just curious if I would be eligible to apply for BOWP.

If you have arranged employment in Canada, you do not have to meet these financial requirements. Arranged employment means that you have an offer of indeterminate employment from an employer in Canada. You must be either currently working in that employment on a work permit in Canada, or have been issued a labour market opinion has must have been provided by the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC). In order to be exempt from the minimum funds requirement, the offer of employment must be genuine, the employment must not part-time or seasonal, the wages offered must be consistent with the prevailing wage rate for the occupation, and the working conditions must meet generally accepted Canadian standards.

WRITE TO CPC OTTAWA ON THIS ERROR - they should ideally oblige

I am on a post-graduation work permit since 2013, while sending my application, I had attached my previous job letter, current job letter, my tax returns, pay stubs and my work permit. Should I attach all these documents again?

My best advice is that try to apply online through mycic. At the beginning, you will be asked to go through a questionnaire. If it says that you are eligible for an open work permit, you should apply with an explanation letter clarifying your situation.

While doing the questionnaire, try some trial and error methods. For our misunderstanding for some of the questions,the system sometimes proves us not-eligible. Moreover, you have nothing to lose. The worst case is getting the rejection and it won't affect your future visa application for sure. So, why not trying !!!

We got a same appl received date and PER date (17 Dec) and second line updated on 29 Feb (process started on 26 Feb).

You don't have much options, but here are the ones I can think of:
1. Wait for a response to your CSE or wait of NDVO to send your MR
2. Send another CSE to NDVO
3. Order GCMS notes
