I had sent an email to CIC about the status of my Application around two months back and here is what I have received.

As of the date of this email, I can find no record of your application in our database. As you state it was delivered on October 21, 2014, it may be in the queue for initial processing. You may wish to submit a status inquiry in 2-3 weeks, and a further search can be conducted.



This is very scary for me as I did see the POD from dhl .

has anyone seen this before?

AOR will take atleast a month after PER.

Example:
PER date : ~1st week Feb
AOR date : ~ 1st to 2nd week of March
MR date : ~Last week of April to 2nd week of May

Timelines are average. Might vary.

That is crazy!! I also sent my app in October... Oct 27th it reached CIC. I too sent by DHL and have the proof of delivery printed out. No news, not even charging till now. Don't know what the heck is going on! Hope they're not losing our app packages!

Don't worry buddy, we are in the same boat. I'm October 14th applicant. no news yet, didn't receive PER and I don't know if DD has been encashed.
Remember "No news is good news"

that kind of reply is normal if the application is not 8-10 weeks old while sending the case specific enquiry.

But by the time they replied to her email, it was more than 3 months! Shouldn't they know the status by then?? I don't know. It's quite strange.

some Oct applicants got MR/PPR already. It's a visa office basis. I wonder when we can expect our MR from Ottawa?

they clearly stated on the site that while SENDING IT SHOULD BE 8-10 WEEKS OLD.not by the time they reply.
it's their regulation we are helpless

from Ottawa it's(MR) usually within 1-2 months from PER and ppr within 3-4 months after MR.

Just spoke to a CIC agent. She told me that my file is in transit and electronic transfer to Ottawa office began on January 30th. She said sometimes the VO would require a copy of paper application but usually it's done electronically.

Does an electronic transfer take that long or are they referring to the fact that someone has not opened the file as yet? I mean this is a Canada to Canada transfer and I was expecting it to be quicker inland than outland.
