usually it take 2 days from pre-arrival to PPR. but covid and NDVO have changed everything,
i have pre-arrival letter since 4 July 2020, nothing till now.
No, I did not do the medicals again. I did not get any mail regarding re-medical.
Before my medical done date was 8th Aug 2019. But now they have updated it to 29th Sep 2020

Effective June 1st, 2012, officers can request that an applicant’s medical file be reassessed by a Medical Officer (MOF) or a Health Branch (HB) delegated staff for the issuance of a new medical certificate. The process applies to cases where a final decision of an officer is pending only due to the expiration of a medical certificate or when the validity of the medical certificate is about to expire and the applicant is unable to land before it expires. This process is limited to applicants who had a routine immigration medical examination (IME) done by a panel physician within the last 15 months in or outside Canada. The new medical certificate issued will be valid for 12 months.

NDVO and CIC making fun of us thats it, they dont care if we die or live, all they want is their salary in their pockets. I hate to say this but I don't think VFS is opening this year.
Unless they digitalize the VISA (I'm 99.99999% confident they dont/cant, because their systems are so behind and did nothing till now) everyone is struck.
Irony is that same VFS in INDIA processing VISA's for almost every other country they support (Australia, Germany, etc...) so its CIC/IRCC which don't want them to open

My gut feeling, October 2020 will be special for many decision awaited spousal sponsorship applications.
