They don’t necessarily send pre arrival letter to everyone though, some applicants receive it and some receive DM without pre arrival.

I also received the pre arrival one week before
any one knows what is the next step and how long i need to wait for it

so I DM's VFS global on twitter. I got a generic reply that once they have permissions from governments (India/Canada) then only they will open the centers. Also per the latest update on NDVO international flights are not going to operate until July 15th.

When did you submit your application and when did it get transferred to NDVO?

Hi, We are Sept 2019 applicants, File moved to NDVO in Jan 2020 & Today we received our GCMS notes from NDVO - Here is the Assessment Status:
1. Eligibility - Not Started
2. Security - Not Started
3. Info Sharing - Complete
4. Criminality - Passed
5. Medical - Passed
App Status Reason - Inventory

Still don't know How long will it take ?

Hello @singleman you are very optimistic...as per current trend no one is getting dm or ppr for ndvo applicants. I hope what you say gets true.

Eligibility is MOST imp thing in all cases. Sometimes a BGC check v long time which is done without any updations on web. In most cases NDVO took 6 to 8 months from Meds or moved date , so JAN to AUG >>AUG should be very lucky for you if no complications like an interview waived or not.

So lets enjoy without fights/arguments here as some members upset you if your answer is bit wrong they rather insult u. There are respectful ways to correct some one's answer u know. Even Immi Officer can be wrong as all Drs, all Techs , all cops are not the same. Cheers!

OK good BUT if you see something like this:-
Review of eligibility: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.


Review of medical results : You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.


Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents.

Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.


Background check: Not applicable. ( let u know this was being done hidingly, which was found later)

Final decision : Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.


Above is tricky AN interview was scheduled later in this case! For everyone they write this :- You do not need an interview.

I received GCMS notes today and for Biometric section it mentions, I have to redo Biometric but I don't understand as Biometric details are updated on MYCIC :

• Biometrics Number: 00xxxxxxx0000000000000
• Date of Biometrics Enrolment: March 19, 2020
• Expiry Date: March 19, 2030

But under section it says
Biometrics

• We have not received your fingerprints. Check your biometrics request message below for details.

Is this an error with CIC not updating it or will need to do Biometric again ? Please share if anyone has similar experience. Thanks

Are you sure this message is from after you gave the biometrics and not when they sent you the request for the first time?
