I am june 10 th applicant . I got the refusal letter yesterday because of the reason for my husband didn’t updated marrital status in the interview of him
This is really sad. Can you please provide more details to help understand the issue? Also, can you please provide the content of the refusal letter of you don’t mind?

I don't get this. You and your husband have filed spousal sponsorhip. Then how come your husband didn't update his marital status? Maybe I think you were both married before you husband got PR and he didn't mention you as unaccompanying spouse.

Thanks for answering because I know it's not easy to tell a problem like this. Your husband might not be aware or been advised by crook immigration consultant about not including family member in PR application. Best of luck. You have to hire a good immigration lawyer to fight your case. I hope everything works out for you.

When anyone applies for PR for any category, one has to mention all his or her immediate family members in PR application whether those members are coming in Canada or not during PR process. Her husband became PR after 6 months of marriage but didn't update marital status in his PR application. He filed spousal sponsorship after. So that is why the refusal letter came.

Hmm that's tough. But could they not have asked for additional docs or called them for interview. I feel it's just so harsh. One mistake and it gets rejected.
