I am 13th June, file transfer 22nd oct. But received the pre arrival on 12th dec.
But getting a pre arrival is nothing much I guess. It can only sure you that visa officer is satisfied with the relationship and he is not gonna as for more papers or interview.
Also some people got the pre arrival and ppr within a week some got on the same day. Some like me are waiting for more than month. So keep your hopes high, we will get something soon.
Do we have any case where interview was done after pre-arrival?
Does PreArrival really mean that some part of background check or eligibility check is done?

I am not sure about anything, but so far I don’t see anyone got interview or asked for more paper work after pre arrival.

Ok I don’t wanna be harsh here but if someone is not getting ppr or pre arrival like other members of same timeline needs to consider that they have some red flags in there files because of which visa officers are holding there files.
Most of us in here got some issue in our files. Some got second marriage, some got earlier visa rejections, some hide previous info from embassy so instead of blaming the system here isn’t gonna get us anything faster.
So my point is we got some faults(not everyone) and we have to pay that with more waiting periods.

But if red flags is there , they need to update what they need and I didn’t receive any additional documents asked or any update from them .Some of the same day applicants got ppr also

I agree with u! How can mississauga VO able to handle applications for applicants around the globe and approved their applications in max 4 months? As soon as applications reached in ndvo they just get stuck even no red flags. I understand they are not just dealing with Indian applicants, they also process applicants from Nepal as well. They are probably busy and most of us are still under normal timeline. Not hearing much from them more than 5 months, kinda difficult and gets stressful. It's pretty normal to get frustrated when we are stressed. Let's hope we will hear from them soon!

NDVO goes silent for a long time after some work done on a batch … its typical of them
Even if they are super busy .. for instance, if they have only 10 officers working on spousal sponsorship…each attending 1 file/week
They can still finish off with roughly 30 files a month … Going through 50 pages in a week is no big deal.... its very realistic and productive way of working.

But no, that doesn't happen … many of us left stranded at the mercy of lazy officers

Seriously, IRCC need to look into the productivity of their officers or have some kind of audit or something within the embassy to keep a track of how their officers work.
Or some sort of time allotment in regards to assessing files such that a file must be completed within these many days.
There could be lot many ways to make the whole process conducive for both parties.
