As VAC is going to open for passport submissions only, it would mean that people who have completed their biometrics and medical will only get PPRs for now. And I believe most of the applicants of Jan 2020 wouldn’t have got their biometrics till now. So they will have minimal work load to complete pending applications till December 2019 and they might clear all the backlogs until last year as soon as possible.

Are you sure? Because IRCC seems to favor TRVs like study, visitor and super visas. Anyways, maybe those who have filed their applications in April and May 2019 can expect PPRs.

Another HOPE of a ray of LIGHT NDVO usually does few updates during this MTC. :--

GC KEYs service will be unavailable from 12:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 13 2020 Eastern time in order to perform system maintenance.

It’s sent to local VFS center, then they send to nearest embassy, Chandigarh or New Delhi, or depending on the state. If PA is residing in Canada on tourist visa, I think you can request it to nearest vfs in Canada also. Otherwise, if PA resides in India, stamping is done in India only.

PA is residing in Canada on Visitor Visa. How can I request to transfer file from NDVO to Mississauga office?... Any suggestions will be helpful. We tried transferring via call but they said its not possible.

I heard here it was done and still can be done . So try sending an email or web request. If not only thing worst can happen if an interview then PA even both may have to attend
