Hi friends,

Please advise where can I find the list of institution who will evaluate our credetials (i.e. PEBC for pharmacists). I am from Philippines holding Bachelor Degree in Office Administration. My job is under NOC B and I want to have my credentials be evaluated and try our luck for PR in 2013.

Also, one more thing, for the Proof of Funds, do I need to show the cash on bank only or can I include my properties?

Thank you in advance peeps...

Its now clear that credentials assessment is a must...........for pharmacy the assessing body is PEBC. So, don't wait any more and apply now, as PEBC take 2.5 to 3 months to get your documents assessed. In my case they took 3 months.

why it is clear that assesment for pharmasist is must..it is same for noc 3112?

regards

Hey Man,

Where you got this that assessing body in different for different NOC......????

As per neew guidline it should be same for all NOC to evaluate overseas educational credential with reference of Canadian Education.

Hi guys! I hope everybody is doing ok. I'm new here and I just want to ask for confirmation if CIC was the one who appointed PEBC to evaluate the educational credentials of FSWC applicants wtih NOC 3131 (Pharmacist). If so, where can I read or check the appointment of PEBC? Thank you very much and God bless!

Hi Farhan,

You do not need to read this much. It is just a review exam. I have done Comprehensive Pharmacy Review (CPR) by Leon Shargel, and Misbah's notes.

You also need to know Canadian pharmacy act, pharmacist ethics and management principle. OTC section from CPR will help a lot. and other from Misbah should be good enough to pass.

This year it was,

Pharmacology and Therapeutics 40%
OTC 20%
Management and acts 10%
Pharmaceutical calculations 5%
Med Chem 5%
Anatomy 10%
Biochem and other stuff 10%

Let me know if you need more info/materials.

CIC will designate organizations who will be approved to do credential assessments for immigration purposes. Until they select the company, we don't know which assessments will be accepted or what specific process will be approved. While you could start gathering the documents that are required by various companies to be ready for the assessment (or start on any licensing process for regulated professions) be aware that any credential assessment you do otherwise may not serve any immigration purpose.

You can see additional information in the press release I linked to in the first post in this thread and at http://www.credentials-competences.gc.ca/CommunityBrowser.aspx?id=1431
