Hi all,

i too am among the gazillion people wanting to immigrate to canada for better work and lifestyle. Now this thought came to me when one of my friends/acquaintances informed me that he and his brother (working in canada) are partnering with a well known student visa consultant to start taking aspirants' work visa and PR requests (from india). Now, he tells me that they already have a job offer from one of the well known companies (in retail sector) in canada for a corporate marketing job, hence getting me a work permit will not be a problem. they have asked for CAD$ 3000 for complete documentation and processing.

Do you think this is a trap? or if they genuinely have a job offer available i might scrape through?

thanks for your inputs.

You will need LMO for this job offer in order to get work permit.

I have never heard this much amount of money for processing fees.

Ask him the details of employer and about LMO.

thanks for your reply badal. He gave me the details of the employer, but no info about LMO. Have asked him to provide me the same. shall keep posting with the updates.

cheers and all the best

NO, you have to wait until they come with new rules.

While going through the blogs, just came to know that by end Aug, CIC would announce new point grid system. That'd be an on-line process (like Australia & NZ, where you just fill out EOI on-line).

Lets see............keep your docs ready and wishes / hopes high....

I can just say, utilize this time (from now till Jan 2013) for English language built-up for your spouse. alternatively, you may search for taking admission in some of the Canadian college / University - so that you can apply for study permit, in that case your spouse and (dependent children - if any) may accompany you.

hi

pebc has sent me an email that they will send the result in 8 weeks , well here in australia the application for TR and PR is very simple its an online system i hav applied my TR residence on line and they just grant you visa in few hours except the PR for which they take a bit longer time like few months , i think canada will introduce online application systemlike australia in which we scanned and upload our documents on line and later they just ask you to send the origino;s which are required but for EOI may be they will do later , in EOI we send a letter of expression of interest with our PR file the they check their data base if they require your occupation they will send you the invitation with Pr but if not then even though you are completing thier full points of PR you cant stay in their country so in final if we have to be sure that we will be selected we have to prepare our file best with more experience and high english profeciency which is must .

all they need is young , more experience with good education and hihg profecieny in english in them thats all

well i am planning to give ilets again for australian PR but will surley go for canadian PR first .

cheers

As I see, you will be able to obtain the maximum points in education as principle applicant. The educational points of your spouse (having masters) would augment further your over all points. As far as age is concerned, although you would not be able to gain the maximum points (as it is being believed that maximum age points will be available till 35, then diminishing till the age of 49 and after 49 years no age points will be available). So, still with 40 yrs age, you will be able to apply - but won't be able to get maximum points in age factor.
You may strengthen your over all points by having you spouse IELTS done. I would also like to suggest you to re-take IELTS for yourself, target for over all band score of 8 - as in new system, higher bands would be required as a must. So re-take IELTS and target no lesser than 8 bands.
With good bands in IELTS, no French skills would be required so don;t worry about it.

Concluding, you still have very good background to be eligible for application.
This is only my analysis, based on my knowledge and experience.

Thank you Mr Farhan
I am pleased to see your analysis and reply. I am waiting for the new system based points . Already thinking to retake ielts may be in december 1st week. As on my age we can't do much . Let us wait for the MI .
