read the guide. their updation is still in process to reflect the changes in all web pages..its quite a shock CIC can take such a horrid steps breaking ppl's heart and morale...pathetic

Do you think it is true. It might be the case that as there cap was reached for July 2011, and as of today they are only taking arrangement letter and PHD applications so only these two options are available.
They might update on July 1 by adding NOC in it..

What are your thoughts guys?

this page is not updated.. only the 7000 guide has been updated.. see the date at the bottom of the page.. looks like 7000 has been posted by mistake.. as date also says 29-06-2012 which is tomorrow..

eventhough it is posted by mistake ...their intention of freezing FSWI NOC category is quite clear ..though am hoping for a turnaround on this news..

They shd've announced this big change at least 3 months ago.. We spent money and time preparing!!!

It is very hard, I know. Minister even recognized this when he said "
He noted many already have couriered their applications and that this will mean more stress and additional costs for applicants."

The hint was dropped on POSTMEDIA newsagency (group owner of big news papers like National Post, Montreal Gazette, Vancouver Sun, Windsor Star, etc)
One of the newspaper which carried the story is

Key Highlights:

The government is expected to issue a moratorium on new immigration applications under the popular Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Immigrant Investor Program, Postmedia News has learned.

Both programs were set to reopen to new applicants on July 1, but efforts are underway to revamp the programs by the end of the year.

The government doesn't want to process new applications until it's dealt with the existing backlogs and put in place a "just-in-time" economic immigration system, probably by January.

The moratorium is expected to be lifted once the full plan is in place.

Regarding backlog it stated:

The budget bill also will eliminate about 280,000 visa applications submitted under the Federal Skilled Worker Program before February 2008 by refunding their application fees to the tune of $130 million. The move effectively will reduce the skilled worker backlog to about 110,000.

Last year the government capped the number of applications it accepts from federal skilled workers without prearranged offers of employment at 10,000.

It is canadian way of making money.

Many have already patronized credential evaluation agencies and consultants.

All will remit taxes.

They live a secretive life. Wont hurt if this was made known three months ago.

So said.... >:(
