Hi everybody. I'm new here. I will also be applying on July 1, 2012 under the FSW Program and I'm confused regarding the processing fee. If my wife will not accompany me, do I still have to pay processing fee for her now at the same time with mine? Or will I pay for my processing fee only, and pay for hers when she's ready to follow?

I just dont want my application to be returned for insufficient fees, or delayed due to incorrect fee payments. Thanks to those who will reply!

yes you have to pay the fees now as u are married.

NO YOU DNT HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR WIFE IF YOU ARE APPLYING AS A SINGLE APPLICANT AND JUST DNT CLICK THE ANY COLUMN / FILL ANY FORM REGARDING YOUR COMMON LAW PARTNER SO IN THAT CASE YOU DNT NEED TO PAY FOR HER , JUST SINGLE APPLICANT FEE.

@ shahidsabir2 - thanks also but i am legally married so i must declare that, and i want my wife to come to canada too but at a later date.

I might try paying for only my fee ($550CAD) based on the above 2 sites, but i'm still searching the web.

Do not search more.....shahidsabir bhai is right......you do not need to pay for ur wife but definitely need to explain why she is not accompanying you....

I am still on the process of Preparing all documents. I someone could help me with my queries:
1. Do the principal applicant and spouse need to submit elementary/primary and highschool diploma and TOR?
2. My spouse is abroad, can I just fill out the forms for him and leave the signature blank?

Do not search more.....shahidsabir bhai is right......you do not need to pay for ur wife but definitely need to explain why she is not accompanying you....

No need to explain why his wife is not accompanying him. As an applicant he is under no obligation to add any other family members but himself.

However, doing it this way, if at a later date he wants his wife to join him, he will have to go down the spousal sponsorship route.


So to the OP, if you are planning for your wife to join you within the next few years it is surely better to include her in this application now, for the sake of a few dollars processing fee?

There is the Supplementary Information: Your Travels form (IMM5562) where the applicant has to list all trips she/he has taken outside her/his country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since her/his 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago).

My question is: I have traveled between my country of origin and country of residence multiple times (around 15 times). Do I have to list all those trips? Or should I list only the trips I made outside those two countries?

There's your answer in bold, any country that's not your home country or country of residence.

The guide states that the category under which you are applying should be specified on the envelope (NOC category, AEO category or PhD category)

So I assume we should write something like NOC 1122 (for example) on the envelope.

My application was returned in 2011 due to “cap reached”. The office who processed my application (the returned one) has written an 8-digit number in the Universal Client Identification number (UCI) field. Should I use this number in my application this year?
