Hi my husband who is the main applicant sent an email on CPC-CTD-Ottawa <CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca>
As I can't ask them being as sponsor they dnt give me any info that's y I asked my husband to send an inquiry by email so he did and we recieved answer in few hours.

So, your case is still in Ottawa ... it hasn't been forwarded to the VO yet?

Hi we sent an enquiry before this inquiry as well and for that in response we recieved an email which they stated
Dear Sir/Madam,

Our office confirms that your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.



But this time they respond stating that the decision will be rendered shortly otherwise their standard response always like they can not confirm when your application ll be finalize.

HI.

You got your Bluebook in June 2016 add, 18 months onto that will be your hearing date according to our own appeal experience.

So it would be December this year or January 2018 give or take.

Hello all,

I am new to this forum but hope to get an help and support. I've learned a lot from reading many pages of this forum.

My husband is a Canadian citizen (our application is processed in Ottawa though we are not in Canada or the USA). I had to print out all requested forms, sign them, scan and e-mail the copies to CIC. I hope this doesn't cause an issue as Adobe would not let me sign the paperwork on the computer.

Our timeline is as below:
Applied: November 25, 2013
Medical Received: February 19, 2014
Sponsor Approved: March 3, 2014
Lots of questions asked about our relationship and proof of intent to relocate and there was a delay with my criminal background check because of a backlog
Denied: July 6, 2015 on the basis of inability to show proof of intent to relocate (despite providing letters from my employer saying they are aware of my interest in relocating, a letter from my husband's aunt in Toronto saying she would house us until we found housing, e-mail communication with apartment rental companies/leasing agents, itineraries of our trips to Toronto to look at apartments and meet prospective employers, e-mail correspondence of job applications and correspondence between my husband and prospective employers, e-mails between us and members of the church we were interested in joining, e-mails with professionals within my husband's field providing advice for his job search and resume etc.). They claimed they never received the e-mail sent to them on March 23, 2015 detailing everything they asked for.
Blue book received: December 12, 2015
Filed appeal: December 15, 2015
Notification of intent to re-open our file: October 4, 2016
Notice of receipt of withdrawal of appeal: November 14, 2016
Application Reopened: November 28, 2016
Request for information (completed IMM008, IMM5669, IMM5406, updated medical, a copy of the bio page of my passport and the Right of PR fee. The RoPR fee was paid in November 2013 and, according to the bluebook, a refund was not issued so we did not repay it. I am hoping this does not become something that we have to fight CIC over): December 22

I live in Canada and sponsored my wife but she was refused on 16th of January 2017, for the unsubstantiated reason that our marriage was not genuine.
We filed in our notification of appeal on February 7th through our lawyer with about 74 different documents attached. I read about blue book and ADR on this forum, could someone please explain to me what next to expect, when and what next to do in preparation of hearing. I mean stages to expect in the process and what to do next. Thank you all.

HI.

first of all where do you live in Canada?
All I can tell you about appeal process in Toronto as Our case is from Toronto.
After filling your appeal, you will get a acknowledgement letter that they got your appeal's documents.
2nd thing is they will send you The Blue book within 120 days of your submission of appeal .
(Blue book is basically contains every thing you have submitted in your file and also what happened in the Interview, What question VO had asked and what answers your wife gave them. Why VO denied the visa.

3rd thing. If you are lucky and They believe your case can be resolve in few minutes then they will give you ADR (That means after Blue book within 3 or 4 months you will be called).

4th thing If you didn't get an ADR then your case is going to full hearing and for full hearing the waiting time in Toronto is 2 years all in total.

I tried my best to answers your questions. Hope it's gonna help you to understand the appeal process.

about your question It's hard to say how long it's gonna take as your VO is not New Delhi.
but things are moving fast these days. Hopefully in few days you will get an update.
