Currently the assessment of sponsor is 82 days, your friend should expect to hear back soon. The CIC call centre is available M-F 8-4p, just call them and ask for the status of your application.

no this is not true and if you were denied you can appeal or withdraw and sponsor again
but no need to withdraw now bcoz you can appeal good luck

your MP is wrong. Most requests are done by e-mail.....not all...but most.

in your refusal letter they have mentioned the section number which you were refused under... so, what is that number? then i can help you

In general, most appeals are successful. Timeline will depend on where appeal takes place. In Toronto, count on 28 months. Vancouver timeline is less.

There is also the chance that you could get ADR which would shorten wait times a great deal.
