Hi,we won adr on 3rd feb 2014,received letter from IAD on 3rd march 2014,Online status changed to In Process on 18th march 2014.When can i expect letter for medical & pcc ? Do CPP-Ottawa send email or post letter to applicant?

generally speaking, Vancouver less than 1 year. Toronto- 28 months

You might get an ADR which will reduce waiting time to about 6 months

yes go ahead with appealing without a lawyer..after u can look for a good lawyer.. u got 30 days to file ur appeal,

I have replied your message - check your inbox. What I mean is, if you are going to upload the letter on the forum, remove your husband's name, Client ID, birth date, any personal information on it. Also remove your own name, etc from it before posting. Hope this clarifies it.

I have sent you a personal message too, but my letter doesn't have any birth date on it. Just my husband name and his address. Rest i have asked you in message. please reply that. Thanks. and i will upload the letter to u and in forum also.

I have a suggestion that I believe will help to provide some relevant information.

We could create a spreadsheet with the following columns

Decision Made - (Date)
Received Denial notification - (Date)
Reason for Denial - e.g. non genuineness of marriage/ ARC Denial/
Visa Office
Appeal Filed
City - i.e. Montreal, Toronto etc
Blue Book Rec'd
ADR - (Yes/No) - if yes insert date
Hearing - ( Date
Appeal Allowed - Yes / No
First Correspondence since Decision - (Date)
Visa Issued - Date


I think if we can have a compilation of this information we could possible see a trend or at least have an idea of timelines

I see other threads they have spreadsheets for various stats and it is kept as a footer of whoever maintains the spreadsheet & anyone can drill in to get the info. I am not sure how to get the spreadsheet like that.

What do you all think? If someone would like to volunteer to do this or instruct me how to create the spreadsheet as a footer I would be happy to do i.

Does anyone know how you can upload a document on the forum? 'helpseeker' sent me her refusal letter which their representative sent saying it's from CIC. She has doubts about its authenticity and I don't know what to make of it. Here's what is says:
1. it is a sponsorship application but the address is, "Citizenship Case Processing Centre, PO Box 12000, Sydney, NS B1P 7C2" - this is the address for citizenship applications. Strange aye?
2. It says "Client: xxxxxxx " - client ID is usually 8 digits not 7.
3. It says "File: xxxxxxx" - file number always has the letter 'F' and 9 numbers like so: Fxxx xxx xxx
4. It seems the letter has skipped the "sponsor approval" stage (stage 1) and just gone straight to rejecting the application because of 4 reasons.
a) CPC-M does not evaluate the relationship during stage 1, right?
b) It is the overseas visa office that evaluates the relationship during stage 2, right?
c) Sydney, NS is not involved in Sponsorship applications.
5. here are 4 reasons for refusal:
a) not satisfied with genuineness of marital relationship
b) you gave false address location information about maintaining contact. (Apparently, her husband gave his employer incorrect address information)
c) did not provide satisfactory communication details which would establish the relationship was genuine and in cohabitation between you and your spouse. - Does CIC really write all these details?
d) you did not provide proof for the money transfer made by you to your spouse as stated in the application.
6. Letter is signed by "S. Cordina, First Secretary (Immigration) - do secretaries sign refusal letters?
