I have something very interesting and annoying to share. I recently came across a female who recently got Canadian visa. SHE did contract marriage to a Canadian guy and guess what, she got visa without any hastle. What *censored word* is happening around. People like us are going through hardship of life and fake are getting visas.... Oh Jesus where is the justice?? Totally upset Sad

What I can say about the female who got the visa from her contract marriage is because she spent the money to hire some professional to make up their fake story and people like us
with real marriage didn't get visa for our spouse. WTF!!!

Oh so sorry to hear this. It makes us like fools. We are all guilty until proven Innocent!!

I have a question hoping someone could shed some light...After you send in the Notice of Appeal they say they will send confirmation that they received it..120 days later you will receive the "blue book" will this "blue book" say in detail what the VO concerns are...and is it the same as GCMS notes?

They will send you blue file and later month they will send you letter stating if its a ADR or not .. if you won't receive anything then it goes to full hearing .. in case of ADR only they will contact you in month.

Guguz our case is not out of Toronto. Just to give you a rough outline of the appeal process so far:
End of Jan 2013- Interview and Rejected app the next day
Early Feb- Rejection letter
Feb 18- Filed appeal
End of Feb- CAIPS notes received
Late July 2013- Informed will have ADR
Mid Sept- Given ADR Date
Next week- ADR!!

We're in a somewhat similar situation to you as we are also a mixed couple and without a doubt, they targeted us because of this. The treatment my husband received at the Delhi office was unimaginable. We only hope that the ADR officer will be reasonable and use some common-sense. I feel sick just thinking about this going on into a full-hearing, when the fact is, we've done nothing wrong in being in a relationship! It almost feels as if this is some sort of punishment. There is so much riding on this day; it's incredibly stressful. All I can do is go there and tell the full truth with confidence, and try to be calm. We both know, our friends and families know, that this is in fact a genuine relationship and we were legally a common-law couple. It's time for some justice.
We just need all this stress and hardship behind us!!!

Hello all,
I have a question and was wondering if any of you members ran into this problem?

We got married in March 2010 and filed our application in Sept 2010 and still no PPR. Here is the problem. When they did background check they found that our marriage was not registered with the Union Council of Pakistan. In fact the Lawyers licence had expired and he didn't bother to renew it and he continues to sign the Nikka Papers.

My husband contacted him and got him to write a letter saying it was the lawyers fault and not his. He had no choice but get a new marriage contract made through the computer as the original was at CIC Islamabad. Its not properly registered with a new Lawyer signing and all original witnesses signature and I had to sign a letter here in Canada giving my permission for the Scholar to sign and my Lawyer saying why I had to get him to sign. My husband also wrote a letter on his behalf asking them please don't punish him as it was not his fault it was that Lawyer. Our new Lawyer signed all these copies.

This was all sent to Islamabad in Sept and they were to review the case Oct 25/13.


My question is has this happened to anyone on the forum that any of you ever came to know and what was the outcome?

1. Didn't you receive the signed/stamped copy of Nikah Nama from Union Council before you submitted the application to CIC, as long as I know, the Nikah Nama is not completed if it is not signed/stamped by the Union Council?

2. Why you needed a lawyer to register the nikah, as long as I know the Imam at the Masjid can simply register it at the Union Council and you get the stamped copy of the Nikah Nama from the Union Council?

3. Where was the Nikah done (which city)?

You can get a computerized Marriage Certificate issued by NADRA through your local Union Council, I think it would be better now to get the computerized one and submit to the CIC, I read it somewhere on the forum that CIC now only accepts the computerized Marriage Certificate issued by NADRA as they can verify that easily through NADRA platform.

No, My husband was told to get a Lawyer to sign and that was in 2010. Although at NADRA I'm registered as his wife and at his work as a dependant also.

It was a quiet wedding with only a few family members as I'm a Canadian Citizen it was for my security.

We got married in Peshawar and now the marriage is registered with the Union Council and all is sent to CIC.

The Lawyer who signed the Nika Nama had been registered but his licence expired and he never bothered to renew it with the Union Council. He was before March 04/10 registered to sign by the Union Council. He signed a paper saying he was at fault not my husband. Another lawyer attested this fact and signed it.

I understand the situation due to the issues in Peshawar, insha Allah everything will be ok.

I would suggest sister to get a computerized marriage certificate (NADRA issued) through the Union Council, just in case, if CIC asks you, I am originally from Karachi and it takes about 2 days to get it theough the Union Councils in Karachi. I forgot the link where the users said that they were asked by CIC to submit the NADRA issued Marriage Certificate, I don't know how true it is but just in case to save yourself from more hassle, insha Allah. I will post the link where people were asking for that, if i find it.

:Hi Everyone Question. Does anybody know if my ADR is successful, how does the re do of medical and police clearance work at the VO? Will the VO contact hubby to re do his medical and police check or does hubby call to make an appointment for his medical himself as well as re do his police check himself? Anyone know? There is presently about 3 months wait for the medical in Havana and it is now a 2 day appointment for regular sponsorship applications of family class. Would they fast track him over the regular applications or would he have to get in line with the rest? ??? : Oh and one more question. How long does it take from being successful at an ADR to hubby's visa roughly? Anyone know? Thankyou in advance ;D :-*
