Or if not, if you have some close friends that can possibly do this favor from you.

skMarch31: If you are born before 1980 in India Birth certificate is not needed and 10th Certificate should work but if you are born after 1980 then yes you would need to get the Birth Certificate.

have you already submitted the docs.. Now what i am struck is with my birth certificate.. I am in usa and I belong to india.. I dont know how to obtain my birth ceryficate,, People who have already got the nomination.. can anybody tell me if any other document would suffice here???

I guess we are WAITING for any good news form SK immigration...
I know it takes a lot of PATIENCE to wait...goodluck to all..
Our application is already on it's 17th month. The waiting period is really taking too long...

skMarch31: I spoke to my consultant regarding this and even they told me that as per Govt. of India regulation birth certificate is not needed for people born before 1980. They said that the same is listed on brochure that you get along the passport form. Me and my wife also do not have any birth certificates and have used our 10th Grade Pass Certificate, Passport or PAN Card as proof of Date of birth. Lets see what happens when our turn comes but for now you can review the info that I stated above and get back to SINP. Let us know what comes out.

Hi skMarch31! I am SINP-Family stream, January 2011 applicant.I was nominated 3mos after addtl docs were requested. Fees will be cad 550x2 for me & my hubby & 150x2 for my 2kids.If we will pay also for the RPRF, additional cad 490x2 for me & my hubby.
