Good for your friend! Wonder when SINP will get to family stream. Anybody from 2011 yet?

I wonder the same, seems they are working on the skilled worker applications first. So seems like family stream applicants are in for a long haul. ::)

I really doubt if there's anybody out there from 2011! In the meantime let's keep updating each other on skills to acquire before landing. The better prepared we are the easier it would be to settle down.

I'm currently studying materials for the Canadian Securities exam so i can sit whenever I land. Infact, i've also been working on my typing speed too.

I know the likehood of a rejection is almost nil so it's just a waiting game.

smile_2good, please send more updates on happenings in Saskatchewan. I know you're very much in touch.

Dear Friends,

I was reading about MPNP Family Stream Program and compared it to SINP family stream program (pre-existing requirements) to know why SINP changed the requirements. MPNP still has the same requirements as the SINP family stream program had before 1 may, 2012. but i wounder why SINP family stream was abused and finally changed.
But only difference in MPNP Family stream and SINP family member stream is that one can support as many as his/her family member depending upon income of supporting family member, and MPNP interview Supporting family member to assess whether he/she can support the applicant. This is really logical and that is why MPNP has not been abused. MPNP is the currently fastest nomination program. (e.g : We have a very hon. member here in forum manubobby, applied for MPNP family stream later then me, in April 2011, and now he has got Passport request at CIC level, These are the efficient processing and there are a lot of examples like this).

Saskatchewan's Economy, Employment rate and open vacancies boomed last year and advertised nationwide, everyone was thinking that Saskatchewan is growing now. But in my analysis coming will be opposite to that. Their boomed economy was only result of that many of skilled persons from other provinces came to Saskatchewan so that they can use SINP family stream. This transfer of skills from other provinces to Saskatchewan gave the boom. Many people sold their million Dollar businesses, houses and leaved skilled jobs and started businesses in Saskatchewan, bought houses and made Sask their permanent home just Because they want to use SINP family stream and there was no limit on supporting family members. After that they changed the rule and now people are mad at this change. A facebook group is created to gather all effected people in Sask, they have protested and now we have seen SINP minister changed, (i really couldn't figure it out the exact reasons, if any, why they have changed minister, because i am not in Sask). What new minister will do, no idea. (just heard in facebook group that he took notice and willing to find common grounds of family category changes)

Many applicants waiting for more then 18 months without having a single correspondence or letting them know about their application (All they can say is In process). Still SINP claims it is faster then Federal programs. At least in Federal, applicants know the stage of they application in process. Federal applicants are regularly been contacted. Now SINP even themselves don't know when applicants will be nominated.

We just can Hope, wait and see. Otherwise ground realities are bit different i guess, and i doubt that we can get nominated this year.

Best of LUCK

Many thanks for your piece smile2good.

I stumbled on this old piece on Saskatchewan's booming economy.

Good analysis but I wonder if boom only entails buying houses and changing locations because of immigration. To evaluate the economic situation in saskatchewan,it would need an economist who physically resides in Saskatchewan. The jobs are not as a result of new companies being established. It's as a result of the old companies expanding. The economist in canada doesnt just put numbers forward to impress the country and make one province look better than another. They will lose their jobs if they do. The number of new jobs created in saskatchewan speaks volume and numbers my friend doesnt lie. There is a place called potash corp which employs lots every day. Construction is booming because when people get new jobs they improve their standard of living hence new cars and houses. Even with a new company or an old expanding industry, It is not that easy to get a job in Saskatchewan. The offers for sinp may have been gotten from family members who own a small business that is doing well or know a friend who has a business that wants to expand. Sinp is working on filling all the jobs in saskatchewan before thinking of uniting family memebers hence the delay in the sinp family stream. They have made that point clear and have said that sinp is an economically driven stream. Moving forward, the sinp would get back to its normal processing time because there would be less people who will meet the job offer criteria and language requirement. They have started processing skilled workers sinp application filled in October. They allocated more IVA FOR BASIC REVIEW hence the speed for skilled workers.
I understand that for most, the wait is frustrating and in the end we are forced to start making analysis based on emotions. But this is the www. Other people are moved by what they read and our article might go along way to pass the wrong info. As a commodity trader I know how emotions can affect the market positively or negatively depending on which side we are. Post but give the sources and if the sources lacks integrity or is from a blog, don't hurt Saskatchewan economy by emotions cos most of us have seen stuff like that happen to other provinces all around the world. Patience is a virtue.

I totally understand what you want to say. As being there you can better tell us the story, and being out side of the Canada i can only quote news stories i read or hear.. Secondly i don't have to give the source as i clearly mentioned in the post "according to my analysis" and i didn't said that its right 100%. it could be wrong. My analysis is based on web stories and my personal experience. Expanding businesses are also have connections and roots with the higher number of coming people. Buying house and having business started is not a piece of cake rather counts a very useful towards rising economy. You can't exclude emotions in your life as its part of your body. Your limbic system of brain is dedicated for emotions. i didn't disgraced the sask province as you sound like i meant. i am just realizing the situations going on there. how do you know they have allocated more IVA for basic review? i am only seeing the 5 IVAs in SINP here since i applied. Waiting is not frustrating if you know that the bus will leave the terminal at exact time, but it will become frustrating when you don't know whats going on and how long it will go. i know SINP is an economically driven program but family stream wasn't before 1 May, 2012, we don't want to come to Canada to be burden on the Govt. we are professionally trained, know our dignity and duty and know how to fulfill our promises to Province.

God Bless you

Well, the thing is i think you have a habit of posting/making arguments on things you think or not totally sure of. Example i think someone posted that there would be language changes requirement for sinp and you argued blindly just because you felt it didnt concern you till it came out as being true. When you post some info, it raises the stress levels of people who politely ignore you. Even if you can just type over the www and tell people your opinion, try to make your analysis close to the truth and use facts and figures not just hear say, blogs and emotions. Emotions although important crowds ones judgement when the chips are down. Enough said! I say this completely for myself....people come here to get info and make up their minds because of the wealth of CORRECT Info herein. Rumor starts from somewhere and spreads like a wide-fire. They are enjoying the fact that there is a boom and someone is posting that it's a fake boom or an immigration boom. If you worked for a govt economic watch agency in sk it would have been a different issue. The consequence of every word we say has weight. Caution in expressing our emotions helps make peace regin in the world as it is. About the IVA, I know because my friend whom I am monitoring his application call sinp from Saskatoon and an immigration officer told him so. He applied in sept ending and was told that processing has gotten to October. I rather be silent than give the wrong impression because silence is golden.

Hi biometrix,

I understand clearly the importance of sharing information that is as close to the truth as possible but you must agree that a writer’s opinion/views and emotions can often times not be removed from his writing.

Every reader has access to the internet and can verify whatever information is given here. This is exactly what I did after reading the piece on Sask’s boom (pls check my previous message). I disagree that the boom is as a result of the transference of skills from other provinces but believe it’s as a result of the expansion in natural resources and other oil and gas companies (amongst many others). You have also stated that clearly. Everybody stands to be corrected but this should be done with respect and decorum. Smile2good has given us some good info in the past, one being the argument on the SINP changes at the legislative. He has done his homework in many cases! Please don’t throw away the baby and the bad water.

Biometrix, since you have landed and successfully too please give us some info whenever you find the time to and no one is perfect so let’s all contribute facts, corrections to posts and whatever else that will benefit all. You can start by advising of skills (business/finance in my case) that are most needed in Saskatchewan since the internet isn’t always clear on this and experience is the best teacher.

Many thanks guys!

Good Info is not what you can find online. Good info is discerning whats wrong and spreading what's write. Words and writings are like bullets. Take religious books for example or the charter of a countries constitution or marriage rites. The consequence of anyone of these documents written wrongly or spoken out of context would spread serious chaos. I never said he had not given icorrect info in the past nor am I trying to throw any water or baby around (who ever the water and baby is in the parable) all I wanted to pass along is what's the point of coming here if we still have to verify every single thing herein what's the point? This forum has been of immerse help to my friend pointing out the need to send in the code of conduct as an additional document before it was asked for. That's info.
Hahaha... I think your patronizing me with your last paragraph and if your from where the pix your using says you are then ...I no dey like am at all. For business/finance, it's a hot cake here and pays well. Personally a 8months course in sbc or saist to enable the transist easier. Most internationals jump into the job market without this upgrade. Unless you have a degree from Britain, south Africa,australia/Newzealand .....in my opinion you might require to go back to school or write the professional exam related to your course 9 times out of 10. Just do a 8months course and you would be fine. Plus the govt pays for the tuition so you have nothing to loose.

Patronising you? No way! I can do with as much good advice/counsel as possible. My finance related 2nd degree is from the U.K but I will still sit for the Canadian Securities Exam. I’ve also looked at Saskatoon Business School and the possibility of picking up some basic skills. Tuition is Govt sponsored?! Not bad at all. I will investigate SIAST immediately.
Lol @ your use of Pidgin English! Now I know where you’re from.

Well appreciated!
