What part of NEW REQUIREMENT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND? Eg there is a new requirement that pnp applicants do not need to submit transcript for cic application. New means recent and the info I posted was to let you know and check it out to see how it affects you. But if you insist then by all means you are right. The guide has not been updated because it's a new requirement.

I think IELTS requirement for SINP was application for family stream came in 2011, i just checked the document checklist of SINP which is updated in 2011 and contains IELTS requirement...

What i have said about Police Character certificates, was a separate issue, that i have submitted Police character certificate with my application and i just realized that they were only needed if applicant or dependent has committed crime..

No Requirement is not 7.7 band (infect there is never 7.7 in IELTS, either 7.5 or 8.0)
Their requirement came in force this month 2012, and requirement is as follow,

7. Language Credentials
You must provide valid English language test results from a language test administered by a federally designated testing agency showing a minimum of equivalent of CLB 4 in all categories. The acceptable tests include: International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS) with minimum scores of:
o Listening – 4.5
o Reading – 3.5
o Writing – 4
o Speaking – 4

Mine was over all 6.0. :)

Hey Friends i just have read in the guide that if applicant have committed crime then he must have to submit Photocopy of Police Character certificates, I mistakenly submitted it as knowing that its is a must requirement. I am clean (Alhimdullillah). and i am worried that they might think that i have committed crime, even i have submitted my wife's character certificates too.. what should i do.. i didn't know that i only have to submit them if i have committed crime. I am worried.. Please help

Hi Smile_2good,

I too submitted my Police Character Certificate, infect I submit Original Character Certificates although I not committed any crime.
I do not think we have to worry about this...I think the country from we are belonging to provide such document will be helpful in this case.

Starting July 1, 2012 - most Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applicants to semi- or low-skilled professions will need language testing. This test will show whether your skills meet a minimum standard in each of these four categories: listening, speaking, reading and writing.

This does not apply if you are a temporary foreign worker in a NOC C & D occupation, and who:

enter Canada on or before July 1, 2012, and
are nominated by an employer under the PNP streams by July 1, 2013.

- this does not required if you are applying for SINP under family stream right? thank..

Any progress on your application?

Dear Friends ,

I submitted my application for SINP ( Skilled Worker Category) on 10th March 2012…… since then My status shown as “ Application Received”

I was wondering if any friend here in this forum can advise me what is going on?

Why my status is still “ Application Received” even after almost 2 months?

How long does it usually take to change the status from “Application Received” to “ in Process”

Please Advise

Thanks in Advance
Fazan
