All Senior Please Help me im in Trouble

Dear,

The name of my wife in Passport has written in Surname and given name is blank on passport and she does not have any surname..........in new generic form it is required.............i have a question that time is less........may i send the application without the passport copy of my wife???????????? in the mean time i may rectify the the required fields.........as Given Siama...........and Surname Ali............and in the mean time i ractify the same as i write in the application...........

Nope cannot do it. Need copy of passport and COMPLETE Application form, meaning every detail has to be entered in the Application form or it will be returned. Passport column is there and need to be completed as well.

So unfortunately you dont have a choice but to wait till you get the passport back. OR you can send this passport copy and then proceed for fixing the passport and name. Though not sure how it will work.

But nevertheless, no passport copy or details, no application.

I can understand your suggestion..........but my wife is dependent i think dependent can send their passsport later...........and the second option you give that send this copy and proceed the thing that is other valuable suggestion .........need more opions.......thank you very much

Does she otherwise have a given name as well as a surname?

What is mentioned in the other documents (like education, marriage cert, work exp etc)?

1) You CANNOT send your application WITHOUT her passport, even if she is a dependant. Thats for sure. They'll simple send it back, mentioning your application is incomplete.

2) If you are from India, under the tatkal scheme, you can get the name changed in 4 days flat! Name change, address change, any change is done in 4 days.

Do write in with the answers to what I asked above. Case will clearer then.

and in generic form i can write in Surname section and then what i write in Given name ?????????because without given name Generic form is not validate..........

Yes it is problem!!

Why don't try this way.

Use the old format IMM0008.

The CIO will continue to accept the Application for Permanent Residence in Canada (IMM0008) until March 31, 2012. After that date, only the new version of the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008) will be accepted and all previous versions will be returned to applicants.

u shud write names according to Passport.

if u really doesnt have time ...then fill the form with surname only....u can use old forms.

once u send u can rectify and then send the pp copy as well with new imm form

The requirment is to fill up the name as given in passport, so you can write Saima in both places.

But if her other docs (education, Marriage cert etc) has given name and surname separate, then you must include an explantion letter to be on the safe side. That is why I asked you if she does not have a surname at all or does she have a surname in other docs.

I THINK U SHOULD WRITE SAIMA IN BOTH PLACES.IF SHE DOES NOT HAVE SURNAME IN OTHER DOCUMENTS THEN THIS IS THE BEST WAY
