is there anyone whose visit visa process time took 4 months or more from chc Islamabad?

If you are asking about visitor trv, then i am not sure. Other types (study / work permits, resident trvs - including super visas etc. could easily take 4 months or much longer), up to a year even.

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of applying a visitors visa or TRV for my wife who is currently in Pakistan. We have recently filed for her immigration, still waiting for AOR. Any thoughts on this process, or anyone who has gone through this route before.

Thanks in advance. :)

Hi Seniors,

i am landed immigrant, came to Canada last year. I am going to apply TRV for my parents but have some questions. CIC recently included a new checklist on their website for Pakistani applicant which has certain requirement such as,

1. Parents visiting your children must provide the most recent copy of your child’s Income Tax Notice of Assessment pages 2 and 3 and a T4 information slip.

Question: I recently submitted my tax return in Canada for year 2014 first time so the tax Notice of assessment will take two months to receive. Now what should i do, should I only include t4?

2. A bank statement covering the last twelve months and showing the balance of the
account.

Question: Now what happens if I submit the 6 months bank statement showing the required amount? will this be an issue? Problem is that my mother has the required amount as a starting balance but the she the gave it to her relative who returned the money back after 6 months so the money is showing in her account since last six months. should we mention this in cover letter?

Hi guys,

I've been admitted to the University of Toronto for this September and I need some help regarding visitor visa for family members that will accompany me to Canada. I just want to confirm that my parents will have to complete the TRV form? - they will be staying for approx. 10-15 days.

Thanks :)

My mom applied for TRV on Feb 10 and yesterday her application status was updated with note that her processed passport has been dispatched from Canada Visa office. So be patient, they are trying to follow avg time of 72 days.

You can send an inquiry to the relevant visa office but am sure that they will send you a standard reply, think they copy paste it as most people get same response in reply to their query, that you application is under review and keep correspondence to minimum.

Good luck

Congrats, i think you applied paper based application? Did your mom submit her original passport with he application as well? I am applying for my mom tomorrow, any tips?

AOA,

You can also fill the trv forms on the behalf of your parents.

AOA,

just wait. if your visit is important/urgent (i.e Attend Business/official meeting or attend a conference ) then you can send email to CHC.

I applied for TRV for my mom and brother.

Nop, we applied online. Once the applications was submitted we did the biometrics at VFS and submitted original docs including passport same time but this is not required for online application as embassy will request passport once the application is processed.

For tips, I submitted a letter from my employer, bank statement including available credit facilities as proof of funds. Showing ties to Pak was key as she has no travel history but it wasn't difficult as all my siblings are in Pak.

My brother also attached his bank statement believe it was US 6 figures plus he has good travel history recent travel to US and EU, so no concern regarding ties.

We requested a single entry visa but they both got 4 years multiple visa as per CIC's new policy.
