That biometric process for Pakistani applicants will start from December 2013.

Expiry on my passport is in 2014, I wants to apply for M TRV entries, should I first get my passport renewal or this will not effect the visa duration ?
for US this was this was not the case as Passport expiry is on 2014 where as visa allotted till 2018
Please suggest

Passport expiry is a big issue here and u should renew your passport before applying. U have Visa for USA, thats a different kind of story. They really do check passport dates and all ,even for single TRV.

That's interesting news for me. I don't think even US visas are allotted beyond passport validity either. May be there are special circumstances i am not aware of. I had to get a renewed passport and gotten a 5 year validity visa for US ONLY when my passport expiry was beyond that. This was back in 2011.

Any way, like others already mentioned, even if US does have that privilege, no such thing exists in case of Canada. If you are concerned about getting visa for a longer duration, YOU HAVE TO GET RENEWED PASSPORT with longer validity.

First of all renew your passport before applying multiple entries TRV.
Secondly,try to get an invitation letter from your relatives or freinds if any from Canada.that invitation letter will make clear your purpose of visit.

Well the issue is not with the letter, everyone is aware that canada is welfare state if you are getting the invitation letter from the person already relying on canadian benefits ??

What if dont have any invitation but visiting for tourisum?

I applied online for my mother TRV last month. She got the visa in 10 calendar days
