Hi Awai Ali,

Can I please ask for your interpretation of the following instruction in the
application package:

Provide the details of your personal history since the age of 18, or the past 10 years, whichever comes first.

I am now 46 years old, do I have to put my details from age 36? or should I start the details starting from age 18 up to present?
I am confused with the word "whichever comes first".

Thanks very much.

Jotash...please add your details only from age 36 for you. There is absilutely no need to give details from 18 years, as this is clearly mentioned in this statement...."whichever comes first".

Hey Awai ali,

Thank you very much for your reply,
should i submit 6 months fund bank statement while applying FSW, i arranged rest documents
There is NO NEED for Bank statement. Bank Certification Letter is what you have to submit. And that format is already available with most leading banks.

If you have fixed deposits or term deposits, do send receipts for that as well.

This should suffice. But make sure you do not move your funds around, while processing of your application is ongoing. You might havr to answer a lot of questions during VO checks, of you move it around.

Trust this clarifies.

But i could c in the forum itself guys gave this documents too....
It was necessary last year (upto June 2011). Most members have applied before June 2011. Hence you are confused.

This year's checklist (post July 2011) has changed. Go by the latest checklist.

I have everything else prepared but I have one big concern regarding my proof of funds because mu eligibility depends on this. I am scared to send my application because I'm not sure about funds.

On the new form there are three questions about funds a)Assets b)Liabilities and c)Settlement funds. I understood that a) - b) = c)

I need 20654 CAD for 4 persons, and I have 21000 CAD on my bank account, so there is no problem.

My problem is that I have a housing loan worth 20000 CAD, and I do not have additional cash against this liability.
Would they accept if I send one report from appraiser to prove that my house is worth 50000. Can this be used instead additional cash on bank account?
Also, I am co-owner with 42% share in the company worth around 80000 CAD (80000 x 42% = 33000). I know that those assets are not readily disposable but it is worth at least something, so I thought to send some proof of those assets as well.

Please give me your advise.
In this case your assets equals 21000 + 50000 + 33000 CAD. This is your asset. Key in this amount in that column.

Next is Liabilities. Here you may fill in 20000 CAD.

Settlement funds need not necessarily be A - B (as mentioned by you). Here you may add funds that can be easily liquidated and you can take with you to Canada. Minimum should be 20654 CAD (for 4 persons). But it can also be an amount higher than that.

Nowhere have they asked for documents regarding valuation of assets and liabilities. So there is no need as of now to send that. Once your file is transferred to the VO they "may" ask for it. Then you get it valued and send.

Hope this clarifies your doubt. Else please ask.

Cheers and good luck to you.

hi freinds.i am applying under fsw.in additional family information 5406 formit is written to write data in english and ur native language.should i write details in my native language in the same form or a separate form is needed.2nd should it be filled by the principal applicant only or also by spouse.thanks
Add an additional paper with the names and relationship with you. Make an excel sheet that looks just like the form. Do not forget to mention your name on top, along with the Form Number and name i.e 5406 additional family information.

Both your spouse and you need to fill it separately. In your spouse's case, s/he has to write his/her name on top, then your name as the principal applicant, then the name and number of the form i.e 5406 additional family information. After writing this info on top, she may add names of his/her family members in the excel columns.

Is it clear? If not, do feel free to ask.

Good luck to you.
