hi guys. So today I went to pick up my package 8)

Passport with a PR visa and the COPR (which btw, is a lot cheaper than I imagined it to be :P)
Everything is in order, thank god! Would hate to see a name spelled wrong, or something like that...

Tomorrow I am going down to Fort Erie to do the flag pole.

I am taking with me my employer letter, a bank account statement and the documents received by mail today.

got my package when i got home.

I received 2 copies of my confirmation of permanent residency and some info sheets.

Went to flag pole at Pacific hwy, no problems. super easy he didn't even ask for any additional documents. I did take proof of employment pay stub and other bits of info just incase.

Was in there for about 20-30 mins.

Good luck to everyone with their processes.

Do Xpresspost update where the item you're tracking is in transit at each stage, or do they just go from "Item Accepted at Post Office" to "Delivered"? My status hasn't changed since I posted it early yesterday. Gah I hate Canada Post, the private couriers are so much better

I've got a feeling it's more at random. A couple of months ago I needed to send via expresspost with a guaranteed delivery (important), but arrived 1 day later.
Now for the PP request, I delivered it on Sunday at the post office, with guaranteed delivery on wednesday. The tracker didn't update until wednesday, "ready for pickup" and yesterday it was delivered (from Hamilton to Ottawa).

I sent a request for Thai PCC for my wife via canada post, with 7 days delivery, but it took 13 days only to leave Canada. Once it entered Thailand it was delivered in 1 day.
So I start sharing your feeling about the post.

I think you shouldnt concern yourself too much with the tracking updates.

If you send your physical passport then thats a different matter. But just set aside 3 or 4 working days for them to receive your package, a week for them to process it, and then the same few days for a return.

If you are sitting on the canadapost website clicking refresh every 30 seconds you will go mad.

You've waited this long for PR, a week or so isnt going to make much more difference - especially if you are within the 6 month processing time scale :)

Hi! Congrats!
Please share your landing experience after you done!

Good luck!

Hey,

I collected my package from the office yesterday. Got the Confirmation of Permanent Residence paperwork and the visas stamped on the passports. I'll be doing my landing when I return from my trip at the end of the month. Can someone please know link me to the thread where users explain their landings. Thank you.

ahh guys! My documents were sent to a Canada Post pickup location as when they attempted to deliver there was no one home :'(

I went to the pickup location yesterday after work, but they said it is only available for pickup today :-X
So this afternoon I am going there to pick it up ;D

Hopefully everything will be in order so tomorrow I can go to the border and do this landing asap.

Did they leave the notice on your door or in your mailbox? I'd rather they leave the pick up notice in my mailbox than my door as I will be away for 12 days, and I don't want it to get lost by the wind or destroyed by the rain ::)

July 28 PPR
Aug 7 sent PP to Ottawa
Aug 8 PP successfully delivered to Ottawa office
Now I will be leaving by Monday for a vacation in the Carribou Mountains in B.C. so I hope by the time I get home, my PP and COPR is in the post office. They told me it will stay there for 15 days and I will be back on the 12th day.

Make sure you put a hold order at the local post office (vacation mail service )

I just created a thread.

Had been following the threads on here for a while. But decided to create an account today. Anyway, PPR also! :-*

Mailbox. But the pickup information is also available on the Canada Post tracking website. It shows where the package has been taken to and when it becomes available for pickup. It even shows a map with the location ::) They did a good job hah...
