No, I have not applied online it was paper application. I only have ecas access and my ecas says Decision Made. Do you know by any chance what is the average time to get passport back with visa?

A lot of people have got it within 8 days, including weekends. I would say we will receive it tomorrow, Inshallah.

Hi folks, I havent got my PPR yet, but I have a few questions to you guys who have. When you get the notice, how much time are you given to send in your passport? I will be travelling a bit, and I am a bit worried that I get my PPR then and doesnt have enough time to send it.. Also, is the passport sent to Ottawa? If so, does anyone know if it's possible to drop my passport there and get it back quicker? I live in Ottawa, so I am hoping I could do that.

CIC usually provides 30 days however, if applicant is going somewhere for longer time so he/she can email CIC requesting to give some extension.
CPC Ottawa office does not offer pick and drop off services. If you live next door to CIC office but you still have to send it via courier with return prepaid envelop.

Thanks a lot!! now i can enjoy my vacation worry free, as it's only 2 weeks long :)

Hi guys, anxiously waiting for my passport, I was doing some research on how the landing process works and came across this webpage

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/after-checklist.asp#crossing2

worth checking it out ;D

That's good info!

Is there anyone who has landed yet?

I'm sure they will tell you in our documents we are about to receive what we have to bring with us.

We still have to jump through the last hoop.

When you get your copr back in the mail, do you then have to flag pole it again at the border?

I sent the PP on sunday, but it looks like something is wrong with the tracking.
It still has status of "accepted at the post office". Since I had to send another express post yesterday and this has already status of in transit I went back to the post office but they don't see anything more.
It's not there and they said it is possible it missed some scans... it could be on its way but they cannot tell anything more. Maybe I will get update on delivery, but it's also not sure. >:(

Now my canada post status has been updated to: Item available for pick-up (Ottawa) (check track history).
So now I know it's in Ottawa, but I don't know if it has been delivered and if someone from CPC has to go to the post office to pick it up.
Strange since I explicitly told to not request a signature since it's a PO box.
