all documents submitted at the same time

I am hearing conflicting responses about this. I just want to make sure me and my fiancee are doing the right thing: we are waiting until we have medical, police check and proof of our relationship all together before we submit ANYTHING to CIC. We plan on sending in the whole application at once.

Now.. I am hearing people doing medicals and police checks separately and AFTER the application has been sent in.

Can anyone clarify the rules here? Thank you

It's possible to wait until after (for some offices) to send certain things. They will see your application, notice it is incomplete and request the missing items from you. Some officers will return your application as incomplete (if they are more strict). Therefore, you are doing the best thing - send it all at once and be done with it. You risk your medical exam expiring (if processing takes over a year), but it's better to have everything done at once to prevent delays (if the office has to request info from you, it can delay your application by MONTHS).

The instructions say send everything in, most of what I have read about people sending police checks and medicals in after the app was sent in is that they had expired so had to be redone in order for the visa to be issued....

As the application state you have to send all supporting documents to avoid any delays, believe me those delays are LONG.
I was also instructed by my lawyer to submit everything in at once, including a medial, and police report. Even though my application process even though the medical and police check will expire but the time they get to my application at my visa office ( long wait time ). In this case you will be asked to provide a more recent medical/police report.
