Please help with me a confusion, my ITA crs for level of educ is 119,
my educ: bachelor & Master, WES eq Bachelor & one yr postgraduate diploma.
As I am filling up the post-ITA form I am putting the same info but the score is now 126. If I put my level of educ as 1 yr degree then it declines to 119, its like they are taking my original degree & not the WES equivalency, I am confused, someone mentioned its a glitch. I have looked up in the cic CRS criteria page:
Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years 119
Masters degree: 126.
I have 2 degrees as counted by WES, so I should get 119. I don't see any mistake from my part but I am scared as it increases the crs from my ITA, what do I do? I have only a few days left to submit and I am freaking over this issue. My options are:
1. Put the fact, masters degree & explain in LOE that I am not claiming points for masters only one yr postgraduate diploma.
2. Put one yr degree as my degree but in that case I have my masters certificate in the document section & it contradicts.
So what should I do? Thank you

Go ahead with the ECA. no issues at all. Level of education according to ECA-
bachelor degree = bachelors degree
masters = one year program at university....
You need to maintain your crs score at or above the cutoff tie break date and time at the time of eAPR. If system increases your score it will not effect your application because your original crs score will be above cutoff without masters points. Just add an LOE explaining that even though you had masters but you are claiming points for "two or more.." as per ECA and got the ITA based on that.
Good Luck!

Yes. By the way you should not be asking this question because you must have entered 1 year degree as the Canadian equivalency for your masters in your EE profile before ITA, right? Then you should stick to it.

No, thats my confusion, I am positive I entered Masters as my degree & 1yr degree as equivalency, then it gave me 119, now the same entry is giving me 126. The confusion is not with ECA rather with the first ques in the form which asks what is your degree, my entry Masters. Then comes the ques of Canadian equiv, my entry 1 YR postgrad diploma. Now this should give me a score of 119 but its giving me 126.

If you got ITA based on 119 education points then No problem at all. Go with the ECA, enter info correctly and write LOE.

Good Luck!

Hi,

This is Raeesa. I have received the ITA and currently filling up the application form and updating necessary papers. I had applied once before under the Express Entry category in August'17, but got rejected. So this is my second application under this category. I have the following queries.

1. Section: ID Documents: Do we need to input information on all our passports? (past and present) OR Just the current Passport information will do? Although it doesn't state anywhere to give past information, however there is an option of adding rows, which got me confused.

2. Section: Immigration history: UCI number, it says if you are a first time applicant leave it blank. So do I need to put in my old UCI, since I am applying again. OR do I leave it blank as my old file has been rejected and closed?

3. Section: Family. It states "tell us about your immediate family members that have NOT been identified in this document. Now in my case I have added my Father, Mother and Brother, as they are not part of the application. However, for my children and spouse, I have left it blank as all their immediate family is already covered in the application. Is that ok?

Also is it better to scan all your travel dates stamp from the passport and attach it as an additional item?

Would really appreciate all the help I can get on the above problems.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm a EE FSW applicant and after I received my ITA, I filled up all my papers and submitted them on March 30, 2018. My application says I passed my medicals, but I've been stuck in IP1 since April 11. It says, "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check."

I read other forum posts and it seemed that others clear their IP1 pretty fast, like in 1-2 days. I'm getting a little worried - is there anyone here who had a similar experience to mine? How long did it take for you to clear IP1 and how long on average did it take to get the PPR request?

1. You need to upload passports that are valid. You need not upload passports that are expired.
2. Legally, you need to provide your previous uci. However, I do not think your new visa officer would know that you applied before even if you leave it empty.
3. You did the right thing. Members of your family who are not applying have to br mentioned here.

You do not need to upload all stamps as a seperate file. Upload all pages of passport with stamps as a single file.

How long does SGVO take these days to issue CoPR? Any recent experiences? My wife submitted her passport at VFS Dhaka on 29th April and it has been received by SGVO on 2nd May.

Usually 4 weeks. You can expect your passport with visa within the 1st week of June.
