Is there anyone who studied and working in Bangladesh who got a PT ?

Dear All,

I have received my ECA today. I have done BBA and MBA (Dual major) from private universities in Bangladesh and my ECA Canadian Equivalency summary is Bachelors degree (four years). I do not understand why they haven't recognized my 2.5-year dual major MBA as Canadian master's equivalent. If anyone could explain that'd be great!

Here's the report:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY

Bachelor's degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS

1. Credential Authentication: Transcripts were verified by the institution
Country: Bangladesh
Credential: Bachelor of Business Administration

2. Credential Authentication: Transcripts were verified by the institution

Credential: Master of Business Administration

Institution Status: Recognized
Major/Specialization: Human Resource Management and Finance

Hello All,

I had done my IELTS last year with Listening: 9.0, Reading: 8.5, Writing: 7.5, Speaking: 7.0, Overall: 8.0

I had applied for my ECA of my Bachelor of Business Administration, and Master of Business Administration on May 6, 2015.

Today, on 22 June,2015 I have received my completed ECA with the following results:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY
Bachelor's degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS

1. Credential Authentication: Transcripts were verified by the institution
Country: Bangladesh
Credential: Bachelor of Business Administration
Year: 2009
Awarded by: Stamford University Bangladesh
Institution Status: Non-recognized
Major/Specialization: Marketing
Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree from a non-recognized institution

2. Credential Authentication: Transcripts were verified by the institution
Country: Bangladesh
Credential: Master of Business Administration
Year: 2011
Awarded by: East West University
Institution Status: Recognized
Major/Specialization: Business Administration
Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years)

I understand my Bachelor Degree was obtained from a non-recognized institution, but what I fail to understand why would WES see my Master Degree as Bachelor Degree.

I would really appreciate if anyone could help me figure out the reason.

Thanks!

Raihan,

Did u receive PT letter today ?

Sorry for the late reply....I got pt on the 5th June.

Assalamwalaikum All,

Hope everyone is doing well. Requesting your expert opinions and guidance on following queries:

1. My CRS score is 419. My wife has an aunt in BC. Will disclosing that help to increase the score at all?
2. My second cousin is a citizen, residing in Toronto. Can that help in getting Ontario PT somehow? On what basis do they issue PT for Ontario PNP?
3. To prove my father-in-law's relation with my wife's aunt, we need my father in-law's birth certificate. But as he is deceased, it's proving difficult. Can anyone suggest what to do? Will his passport (which mentions common parents' name-as my aunt-in law's documents) serve as an alternative somehow?

your first degree were awarded as 3-years bachelors degree and for this second degree awarded as 4 year bachelors degree (first degree 3 years+ masters 1 year =4 years)
but I don't know why they assessed your bachelors degree as 3 years (so far I know EWU has four years course).

Hey Folks!

So I decided to open up this thread so that all Bangladeshi applicant / people from Bangladeshi background can connect and share our EE experience.

I know that there's a large Bangladeshi presecec in this forum and they are very active in the FSW subforum, but haven't come across any thread dedicated to Bangladeshi applicants in this EE section.

So let's connect in this thread and share our knowledge and experience in regards to the new EE pool. I'm sure we can all benefit from our interactions.

Cheers! And best of luck to everyone!!

Excellent Initiative!

I can see from the spreadsheet that some of the Bangladeshi applicants have job offer as well. Can anybody suggest how they arrange job in Canada. Or the respective applicants currently residing Canada?

Thanks for your feedback and if there any suggestion arranging job from Bangladesh.

Do we need to put SSC and HSC info under Education History section of EE profile ? They have asked for secondary and post-secondary periods of study. Is it ok to put only BSC and MSC ?

Hello
I have submitted my EE profile today and my score is 358 which seems very low. Is there any way to improve my score? given that, My IELTS score was overall 7, I have 2 years job experience , not married. I also have my sister live in canada who is a PR. Any suggestion will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

BSC and MSC are enough. No need to mention secondary education.

You have to improve your IELTS score. I am sure you have tried this below link where you can find how IELTS score can help you to bump your CRS up. It will help you to increase your skill transferability points.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

A masters degree and three years of foreign experience would give you some extra points. I believe there is no points allocated for relatives in Canada. Best of luck.
