I don't agree with you one point. They don't actually having double standards. It has been verified by CIC call center agent (someone from other group called) that, after you apply for eAPR after getting ITA, you also become Express Entry candidates and there is no discrimination among FSW candidates and PNP candidates. The only thing they do extra is verifying your nomination from nominating province. That's all, other than this everything else is same as FSW. I also saw few guys with PNP nomination getting PPR within 3-4 months. So, it all depends on case to case basis. I can give you real time example, someone from the other group that I am referring to got PPR after 8-9 months, this is because he used to travel a lot. Cumulatively he traveled to 14 countries and this makes sense that IRCC spent most of the time to check his background and security as he traveled many countries.

thats interesting. i am waiting for my medical last 7 months and no news about medical. am concerned if the background check is taking long time or not as i also travelled 17 countries last 10 years.

Do they go for security check for all those countries? I also have traveled around 15 countries, mostly official tours. And they have asked for my travel history in their IM form as an additional document. So processing my application will take a long time then??!!!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Actually, it's very difficult to predict how IRCC works inside. Let me share a case. One of my friends submitted her E-APR on 2nd February. She passed medical in 10tFebruary. Now that 6 months has already crossed, she contacted with IRCC and they replied that her file was moved to Singapore visa office on 12th June. She and her husband had no travel history at all!

Now, how can you explain this case? The only thing I can see is she applied through PNP category.

So its very difficult to explain how IRCC works. But all I can say from recent cases is that IRCC is processing PNP files super slow. I hope they will speed up the process at the end of this year.

Thanks a lot for sharing your thought. Then I would say, IRCC processes applications in their own way. My opinion was solely based on my thoughts and cases I have seen so far. Again, I am neither an expert nor an immigration officer. In addition I would always like to mention that, there will be some cases that will go beyond any explanation. I can so far hope for all of us that our applications process faster.

It's nothing to be worried. As long as you don't have criminal records they won't accuse you for travelling a lot for whatever reasons. Surely they will verify all, because this is what they do during IP1 and IP2 stage.

That's assuring! I am not worried about any bad record... the thing that's bothering me is the time being taken for this. It's been 50 days that I'm stuck in NA2... couldn't reach to IP2 yet and don't know how long it'll take. And also having no idea whether they are satisfied with my eligibility/job details. Do you have any idea at which stage they check this??

Hello everyone,
Recently i've got my visa & COPR..(Alhamdulillah). The long waiting finally come to an end..
I would like to know about carrying settlement funds...Number of family members is 3,so required CAD is 18000 (approx)..
But initially i would like to fly single and family members will join later. As per bd rules i can carry 5000$...
What should i do.? is it mandatory to bring all amount or i can go with this 5000$?
Pls seniors help me in this regards..i'm planning to fly in end of Oct'17

Take my example.

1 - I wasted 2 months in Medical since they had less resources or whatever in April. Those dates, medical took 60 days to pass. Now people are passing in a week...so they have fixed that issue.
2 - Once i passed medical and R10, my application sat for 45 days with no movement based on my notes for them to do initial analyst check at CIO. Then they shipped me off to London.
3 - So far, three months has passed and no sign of anything while people after me in Ottawa are getting PPR. In my case, my notes showed that everything is perfect. But since I am in London, and they have less resources, it takes longer time.

4 - Finally another month of rotting and they checked my file, passed the officer review, and issued PPR in 3 days flat.

Technically. it's just a 4 day job. For some people it takes 50 days. For some people it takes 5 months. It just comes down to how fast they get to our files.

Of course, PNP has additional steps like Province verification and of course the dreaded secondary security which isn't in CIC hands since it goes to third parties. I'm talking about a simple easy FSW case with no complications. And I paid RPRF ahead and I don't think it backfires. Anyway..I cant complain. I got my PPR in 136 days which now...looking back..isn't too bad at all since their stated timeline is 180 days.

Congratulations, you're fine with your eligibility. Because so far I know, these are checked during IP1 stage. as you're in NA2, then initial assessment stage has already passed. Now, as you will be entered into IP2 stage, here so far I know, only criminality and security checking is done more rigorously. International police and local police are involved at this stage and give clearance before your application is approved. This is so far I know from different posts.

I am waiting for PPR last approx 3 months. My MR has been done on 11th june, RPRF payment on 19th June and sent renewed passport on 04th July due to getting expire. Yet now no PPR. Why is delayed? Please help by shearing your experience. I am SINP OID applicant.

May Allah grant your wishes this time. Let's see what happens. I submitted eAPR today. Tension just started pulling me off. Only Allah can save us.
