Is it OK to renew passport after getting immigrant visa?

I've received my visa last January and planning to renew my passport shortly, as it will expire next December. I'll land in Toronto in April. Right now they issue a new passport and attach it with the old one.

And what effect will it have on the air ticket , as I bought it with this old passport number?

Can I take Credit Card of Bangladesh to Canada for use.

If that is a dual currency credit card then YES but you can use USD only. Not CAD. cz all dual currency credit card from BD can carry only BDT and USD. but better not to bring one. believe me you really don't need that here.

as long as your passport number remains the same it will not effect at all. But you really don't need to show your renewed passport to immigration [neither Bangladesh nor Canada] as you already got visa and your passport still have more than 6 months validation.

vaire, Canada asleo apni apni-e thakben. Change hoben na. So obossoi pora jabe. Most of the garments item here are made of Bangladesh. Jodi usual check or stripe shirt hoe tahole kono kotha nai but bangladeshi printed [arong etc.] holeo porte parben but ase pashe takale apni nijei ektu uncomfortable feel korte paren. FYI, most of the people here ware check or single coloured shirt.

Running shoe or formal shoe hole summer e porte parben but not in extreme winter. Glued sole hole gorome glue khule jete pare or thandae sokto hoye jete pare....seta kheyal rakhte hobe....stiched sole hole prob nai.

Hi all, How's everything going?

Post dekhe bujhlam onekei Canada land korar prostutir shesh porjaye achhen. Taka poesa niye onekke besh concern dekhlam. Ageo amar ekta bishal post e bolechhi, abar bolscchi......as a first time landed immigrant you can carry as much money as you want [USD/CAD/USD+CAD whatever you like] even way more than you mentioned during your application. Canadian immigration will ask you how much money you have with you. That's all. They really don't care how much you are carrying. You really don't need to hide anything. Even that goes for GOLD. You can carry as much gold as you want with you but for the first time only. There is no tax for gold for the 1st time landed immigrants. You just need to cross BD immigration and I'm pretty sure everyone knows how to cross that.

Further more, though you can carry as much money as you want but if you put the money in bank at the end of the year you need to pay tax for that. ekhane bank e taka rakhle taka ase na taka jae. interest rate khubi kom ebong bochhor sheshe tax er kechal achhe. So somvob hole maximum jototuku na anlei na [to me for a 3 person family 15-25K is enough, if you wanna start working as soon as you land] tototuku anai better. bakita deshe fixed diposite or onno kono 'DIM PARA' upaye rekhe asa buddhimaner kaz hobe.

thnks for ur valuable in formation.........
one query from me? we r 3 members family. we hv to carry around 18k according to CIC requirements. But i want to carry 12kCAD or Equivalent USDollar by cash and rest 6kCAD or equivalent US dollar by dual currency credit card through endorsing in my passport. so is it acceptable to canadian immigration?

The passport number is the issue here ! >:(

In case of renewal, new PP is issued with new number (old PP number is also mentioned in it) and both are attached together.

As my PP has only few months validity, I want to finish the renewal issue, before landing in Toronto.
Renewal from High Commission in Ottawa is much expensive then doing it in BD.

So, I'm curious, will there be any problem, if I renew my passport before landing (which has Canadian Immigrant Visa) now?

Dear guys, I need some advice on location. We are a family of three including a son who is going to turn 3 very soon. We are moving to Toronto this May. Which area would be suitable for us keeping in mind good school for our kid? We would also like to rent a place as close as possible to subway since it will take us few months atleast to get a car. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Crescent town, beside Victoria park subway. Not the best place in Toronto, but very good for newcomers specially who has kids.

Salam All, I have a question.it will be helpful if anyone kindly give honest opinion. Is it possible for a provincial nominee with permanent residency to study in another province and after completion getting back to that nominated province?

Dear all,

I have landed in Canada in September last year, stayed for a month and came back with the PR card. I joined my work place after coming back. Today, I got a call from my HR department that someone called from Singapore asking about me. Did anyone face this situation after becoming a PR?

Please let me know.

Thank you.
