Is it possible at all to rent an apartment before arrival in Toronto? I emailed many landlords and building management authorities and none of them replied me back. Any guidance of settling with a young family who have no relatives in Toronto? Highly appreciate your help.

It's quite difficult to rent before arriving. Cuz land lords or property owners doesn't know anything about you and you don't have any job here. They need guarantor for the first time renter. You can rent a motel or do AirBNB for couple of weeks. I do not get it. What the hack problem with Bangladesh Bank. if someone wants to leave Bangladesh and permanently live in Canada, The he is allowed only to carry 7000 USD. Can one man run his life with 7000 USD?

Bhai I am leaving Bangladesh with all my money and the mount of money is 30 Thousand USD.

How can I do this?

endorse US$5000 per passport legally. Carry the rest as CASH as CAD or USD. I believe you know how to cross BD immigration. Don't worry about Canadian immigration. They will just ask you how much money you have with you [whatever amount is, they don't care for immigrants first time landing in Canada].

If we can't arrange Canadian dollars and carry USD in cash, are the exchange rates good or will you suggest to bring money later after opening an account over there? Thanks.

Carry as much as possible with you. Don't left anything for later [if you wanna move permanently]. Try to change your mind about exchange rates.

ভাই, বাংলাদেশ একটা উন্নয়নশীল দেশ। বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংক এটা রিসার্ভ বাড়াবার জন্য করছে, নতুবা কালো টাকার মালিকরা রাতের আধারে সব টাকা ডলারে পাচার করে দিত।
যাই হক, একার পক্ষে $৭০০০.০০ বেশী নিতে হলে, রিস্ক নিয়ে নিতে হবে, (ভাগ্য ভাল যে, বাংলাদেশ ইমিগ্রেশেন এত চেক করে না)

আর, একটা উপায় হল, বিভিন্ন ব্যাংকের Pre-Paid কার্ড আছে (EBL, BRAC etc) , সেটার সাহায্য নিতে পারেন।
নগদ $৭০০০.০০ আর বাকি $৭০০০.০০ -২/৩ ব্যাংকের Pre-Paid কার্ডের মাধ্যমে। যদিও, কার্ড দিয়ে বিদেশে এটিএমে টাকা তুললে , চার্জ অনেক।

Go to EBL, apply for VISA Pre-paid Card (only 5~7 minutes required), Load USD 7000.00 against the Card (bring equivalent BDT to Bank), get your Passport endorsement and use it as & when required.

I am Provincial Nominee. I have received my Canadian Permanent Residence Visa and I am yet to Land onto Winnipeg, Manitoba. My VISA was issued on December and it has validity from December to 20th July.


Now If I Land on Winnipeg, Manitoba on 1th July will be ok. Will this create any problem?
