Dear Senior Members

I have completed my Medical today. I have been asked to pay the RPRF fee by the VO which is 490*2= 980 CAD (Me and spouse). According to Bangladesh bank regulation no Credit card is allowed to do a transaction more than 300 USD (490 CAD is equivalent to 367 USD - if I do two transactions of 490 CAD).
In my RPRF email VO asked to pay online.

Note that I am an applicant of 2014 (Non Express Entry)

Any suggestion - how I can pay

thanks in advance

Brother, Plz refer to Bangladesh Bank's circular - "FE Circular No. 16"( 4 October, 2015) and GFET VOL 1 2016 Ch 11 Para 12 and also Ch 19, para 13 & 14. -

"Besides payment through TT, FDD, etc. online payment of visa processing fees through ICC (International Credit Card)as per requirement of concerned Embassies/High commissions may be effected also ".

" Online payments for such purchases shall be limited to the available unused annual travel quotas of the ICC holders plus an additional amount not exceeding USD 1000.00 (One thousand) annually." Annual travel quota in USD 7000, per person, per annum. 980 CAD = 750 USD is well within the allowable online payment limit of any International card isssued by any BD bank.

All you need to have a ICC by your name or any of your close relative and use that card to pay the RPRF. In case of unavailability of the ICC, you may also use virtual card, issued by most banks.

regards.

I think you are referring to an ancient rule or otherwise you are been mislead. Many of us paid RPRF of both our spouse & our-self in a single shot having own/relative's ICC.

Thanks

Yes that is general format for 12 months Visa validity reason Visa office asked for 12 months passport validity but fact is visa will be valid based on Medical expire.

You have done your medical on mid July so your visa valid will be in mid July but your passport will expire on Dec. So that you have enough time and Visa office will not ask you for the timing for their basic requirement.

So my suggestion would to submit your current passport and prepare your landing preparation before July.

best of luck.

Is there any grp for SGVO????

Thanks a lot. Your guidance helped a lot. I have asked the bank to extend the limit and I at last could pay the fee online. Thanks again

Some tips/info regarding PP submission at VFS, Dhaka:

# I went inside VFS at 9:10 AM and was the 6th in queue. So, I suggest others to go at 9:00 AM sharp to avoid crowd. ;)
# Don't forget to take 'VFS-Canada token' from security guard at the entry stairs in ground floor. ( Weird procedure, this wasted my 10 minutes, as I was denied entry at 4th floor & had to return downstairs, to collect that token. :-X There are other VFS offices too, so make sure you are collecting token for VFS-Canada). By 9:25 AM my PP submission was completed.
# Don't carry excess baggage, just take the bare necessary papers, passport, cash etc only. No other device, accept switched on mobile phones are allowed inside VFS. They do a lot of checking/scanning in the entry. >:(
# Carry cash with adequate change. I had to pay BDT 2821 (PP transmission fee BDT 2764 + SMS notifications fee BDT 57). Fee schedule: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/bangladesh/Service_and_Service_Charge.html
# Ppl like me who rely on public transports such as bus, be aware that most buses who had routes through Gulshan area recently have changed route due to security issues. New bus (Dhaka Chaka) & other transports (CNG) have been introduced there. So, plan accordingly.
# PP submission tips from VFS http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/bangladesh/how_to_apply.html#. see "Passport Transmission Services" section in the middle of the page.
# Tracking PP via VFS website : http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/bangladesh/track_your_application.html I received 1 SMS & 1 email with same update as in this webpage, on the submission date.

Things I needed:
1. My Passport
2. Photo (02 copies) in a envelope
3. Photocopy of my PP (They return it with receipt)
4. Printout of PPR e-mail (first 03 pages of the attachment)
5. Printout of Appendix -B (filled in) of PPR email attachment. Appendix A is for guidance only, I guess. Pls, read the whole attachment PDF carefully.

Nice and detailed info. But Application submission time is from 9 AM to 4 PM. After 4 PM they don't receive PP. So better to get there in early.
