Dear brother, good afternoon. Though your PPR letter states that your "Passports should be valid for at least twelve (12) months." But so far I know, at least 6 months validity is sufficient to submit passport at VFS. So, here are the possible steps you can take:

1. Call CIC agents at Ottawa (because raising CSE & mail to VO/CIO might take longer time) & discuss your problem with them
2. Call Bangladesh VFS or physically go there & make an inquiry

Thank you.

Your old passport has enough time to get visa in it. On the other hand you need to finish your landing formalities before your medical expiration. Though your passport is going to expire on next year so better to get a renewal passport before you left Bangladesh to avoid renewal in CA.

Best of luck.

Yes Bro, I have sent our passports to VFS on next day (7-Dec) and on 12-Dec we have noticed through email that our passport in CA high commission in Singapore.

Now we are waiting to get response to collect our passport from VFS Dhaka.

Please pray for us.

Sorry for asking again! Can anyone please provide me the name and email address of the contact personnel at IOM for purchasing air ticket to Canada? And please also tell how to purchase the ticket? I couldn't find the link here. Appreciate your help.. Thanks

Hi! So far I know (but not sure, pls. crosscheck with SGVO) Canadian visa is not like US visa that if your valid visa stick on your old passport then without transfer it to a new passport, you cannot travel to Canada but for US you can travel with new passport, carrying your valid visa on old passport. I'm also in doubt! once PR visa issued, rarely or they do not transfer/re-issue the visa on a new passport (if the passport lost/stolen, that is different issue). So if you wish to re-issue then do it before sending to SGVO, obviously you can raise a CSE & inform SGVO, the situation & let them extend the interim period to re-issue the passports & send them.
