Today, I heard that CIC will increase the 29 professions to more as the total number of applicants and fund have declined to an alarming state. They have not received even half of the applications that they expected. they have omitted IT, Finance, Accounting. This is the result.

Interesting!!! Stepping back ? Anyway it might be a policy thinking at early stage not too illogical though!! Where did you get the news from?

My status showing in process from september 20, 2010. Still I didn't get Medical Request. Is there any body who is in process from september 2010 Please shere time line it will help me a lot.

it seems that your case has seen verification started after the IN PROCESS.
For others, in process meant the end of verification.
I have mine for 3+ months now.

NGE, verification still not completed. sometimes they dont want some people to get the PR so quick although those people have got all the papers okay.

I also heard that they are going to change the procedure/list of occupation due to low rate of application submission after June 26th. So, why are they delaying processing application before 26th?

PR immigration is a big big source of income for CIC and I strongly believe that they must have laid off some of the Immig officers for not being able to pay them for lower revenue earned; this is the reason for delays for many people. lack of money is something that ransacks everything. At the moment, CIC cant reject or accept many of the pending applications for unknown reasons to us. They cant even reject many who are facing unexpected delays as those people have all grounds to get the nod and they complied all the regulations of CIC to be a PR.

Can anyone say what is the current unemployment rate of Canada? Feeling a bit lazy to go to the stats !

As with many here, I am still waiting for my MR even though my documents went "in-process" on Nov. 29th, 2010. I expected it to have arrive within 2 weeks but now I am concerned. Could it be based on NOC, I applied on 0111 being a Financial Manager? Is there anyone who has received their Med Req. after 1+ months In Processing?

A few questions on ppl who are/have had to wait for +1 month on "in-process".
1. How many months after did you get your Medical Request? Did they ask for any additional papers?
2. Did you get selected for interview and if so when were you told of it?
