Eid Mubarak to everyone! Today on this auspicious day, we got these exciting updates:

On VFS tracking: “Visa application, tracking ID No XXXXX Your Decision has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, Singapore on 13/09/2016 to the Canada Visa Application Centre DHAKA. You will get SMS & Email when your Decision will receive at Canada Visa application centre where it was submitted.”

On MyCIC:

Application/profile status Closed
Review of eligibility Passed
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents We need an additional document from the applicant
Scheduling an interview (blank)
A background check is needed Complete
Final decision This application has been approved

Nothing on silly ecas though…

So looks like this is the last & final update that we’ve been waiting for so long. Thanks once again to all the members who helped me in this journey. I hope those of you who are still awaiting responses from CIC will get them soon.


My brief timeline:

Applied: 22 Dec 14
MR: 26th May 16
PPR: 24th Aug, submitted on 28th
AOR, PER: faltu jinish, mone nai

Thanks! About uploading pic and other stuff, that part was really confusing and before we could decide whether to to mess with it or not, we got the notification. So looking back I can confer that uploading is not required, this feature probably applies to express entry applicants IMHO.

Congrats! Not yet, but since it took 3 to 4 days to reach Singapore from Dhaka, I'm guessing I'll get it early next week.

Hi! Brand new in this forum and was hoping to get some idea on anyone's experience of non-routine applications. Is there anyone here who had requested for a change in document (i.e. in non-routine applicant category now)? Any idea on how much of extra time it may take than regular applicants? TIA.

Dear All,

My wife ( currently waiting for PR visa) would like to enroll in a bridging education program in Canada after her arrival here. For that we would require an assessment of her education from Bangladesh. Forum members appear to prefer WES assessments.

Based on their online instructions, WES requires all Bangladesh educational documents to be Stamped and Verified by the Controller of Examination , Then sent directly by the awarding authority to WES.


I have the following questions for those who may be able to assist:

Do you recommend we get only her Bachelors degree assessed or also her HSC and SSC?
Is there One single office for the Controller of Examinations or does each institution have their own Controller?
Do we request originals and take these originals to the Controller to be stamped and then return to the institution to stamp the envelope and ask the institutions to mail?
My wife is currently residing in Dhaka. Her HSC and SSC are from institutions in Rangpur. Will she have to travel all the way to Ranpur to get these stamps and verifications and then ask the institutions to mail?
Is there a service in Bangladesh that can assist?

Hi apa,

I will say what we did. We had all the immunization records of our daughter on a single card. Initially those were scattered on multiple cards. Our daughter's paediatrician noted down all the scattered ones on his card; the card that he had given us for our daughter. Even the Gov't ones that we completed were also transferred by him to that card after he verified. That way, all records were consolidated and listed on a single card. He then stamped it with a statement saying that "so and so completed all the above mentioned shots...." then he signed it.

In Canada, we showed the card to our family doctor and she said it was all OK and that our daughter was not missing any that her school might ask for. Then, we showed that card to our daughter's school during registration. They said OK. They retained a copy of that card on record at her school. So, that's it.

I am very new in this forum. I need some information about POF.. I have seen in other forum that Provided funds from private institution is acceptable as POF. Is it correct for Bangladesh as well? Second, If I have a loan will it create any complication in my application?

I am new here, i have few questions. please answer me:

1. for medical checkup, do i need to tell that i have BP. i am not regular in medicine.
2. for showing networth in new form of CIC, can i show my and my wife both property there.
3. I have been told to show latest background info and this is my second time to give this info as my file has been appealed to chece once again. so should i show last 10 years from today's date. and do i need to show all positions of my present job or only the last position. they did not ask any official papers but my degination changed and should i also give a copy of that letter.
