Dear Brothers:
Pls guide me. My passport expired in 2008 and I am going to apply for the MRP soon. However, in my last expired passport I have the seal from Canadian embassy when they rejected my student visa request in 2004. Now as far as I know during expressing entry application it is required to mention if I am being rejected from Canada of any other country. In this case will there be any issue may arise for my express entry application? Should I apply for a total new MR passport (is this allowed by the law rather than renewal?

No one to help pls?

Nothing will happen. You just proceed for MRP normally. And do remember they have your file when you were rejected. So never ever hide any information. In this forum there are so many people are suffering for just because of this. My wife was also rejected a student visa and that is also after medical. But she has applied for PR and we have received PR.

So there is no connection of whatsoever.

And in your rejected visa check whether you have any UCI(Unique Client Identifier) number or not. If you have it you should use that in the application form. If you have that field in the new Express Entry form. But even if you don't have it they will assign it and remember they have every info about you up to 2004.

So again don't hide any info.

Hi All,
I'm in dilemma to send a CSI for PPR. I did re-med on 1st Feb'16 but no update at e-case/Online and no PPR yet. Also it's notable that I did 1st Med in Jul'14 and Applied in Jan'11. I would appreciate if you please suggest basis on experience/info from this forum/similar case history.

Dear forum members,
I wish to land in Toronto within first week of May. As for landing issues we have to show proof of fund. In the CIC website it is stated that the proof of funds can be in the form of
  • cash,
  • securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills), or
  • bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders.
As from Bangladesh you can not take more than 5000 USD(I may be wrong as i heard this from others) with you while traveling, proof of funds in cash form is not a valid option for us Bangladeshis. So i request you all to share your experience of showing the proof of fund while landing, so that I can find the most suitable option for me.

Thanks in advance
Mesbah
Adults are 5000 each and kids are 3500 each. Thus a family of four can take USD 17,000 legally.

Now the TQ has been raised to US$ 7000 for Non-SAARC & US$ 5000 for SAARC countries for each adult, I don't have any idea difference between adult Vs children! However, I've a question, if someone wants to go via India, like if someone wants to stay/transit one day in India and heading to CA then would he be able to carry US$ (7000+5000=12,000)/per person? Regards

Hope is always there unless you receive any negative decision from visa office. My suggestion is to continue normal course of life.

Alternately you can try for provincial programs to enter Canada faster.

Hi all
Need last minutes advice
I am worried about my 2years old son.
It takes few months before you get health insurance card from Canada service.
Can you make separate health insurance for child for first few months before you get health insurance card?
Secondly can you get health insurance from Bangladesh that covers Canada travel?

Thanks

Hello Group members

I Apllied in FSWP in Nov 2014. recently i did GCMS and found that there is a "Group Name" section where my local agent's name "British Colombia Elephant Road agent" was filled with. I actually applied through this local agent who actually worked with one of the certified immigration consultant Ms. Sharmila Perera and i was assured by them that my application is also under mentioned consultant. They also filled up proper form of Authorized agent for submission to CIC. After getting AOR i suspected them regarding Unauthorized issue and talked with them but they always assured me that they applied my file under Sharmila Perera.. certified immigration consultant.

But after getting GCMS i found the real scenario and then mailed to Ms. Sharmila Perera and she replied my email where she assured me that she had worked with that local agent but now she is not working with them because they cheated with her in many ways. This indicates that she is not handling my application. In the mail she suggested me to let CIC know my issue otherwise my application would be rejected due to unauthorized issue.

Now if i email cic or SGVO regarding my issue with all the proofs (with email of Sharmila Perera and agrrement paper with local agent) then will it be helpful. Or i should wait till CIC send me PF. I need expert advice. This forum has been so useful for many of us.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards

Ashraf

For non SAARC USD 5,000 and equivalent USD 2,000 in any other widely used currency. I.e. total USD 7,000 we can take. Idea of transit via India is new to me. Better talk at a respective desk of any responsible bank. Regards,

U need to cancel the agreement and file a general diary to the police office and send SGVO with all documents along with a explanation. If you are late to do so, you are sure to have a PF and it will be hard to overcome.

1. What iss the address showing in your ECAS? If it is showing the agent's address, you must send them a request to change the address.

Best of luck.
