Last week I went to bank to know about purchasing dollar from them. They mention that they can only give USD 5000 against each passport.Although I told them one carry around USD 7000 but they didn't understand.

So now the problem is how I am going to buy the extra USD 2000. Also to be safe I would require 1k-2k extra on top of 7k limit. How I am going to buy this amount from open market?

Any advice on this? (Note, I am not considering credit card.)

you can take any other currency equivalent to USD7,000.00 at a time.
so my advice is take USD5,000.00 (if they are unwilling) and any other equivalent to rest USD2,000.00 per passport.
But for minors its half i.e. USD3,500.00.

Did you apply through agent like VC or SA?

If yes then all applicants are waiting who applied through unauthorized agent.

They are almost cleared the May June files which have no problem.

Dear Brother, I am also june applicant and still waiting for MR. Not applied through any agent. Also VO didn't query about anything. Apllied GCMS in May and found review required. already 4th line updated in October. Don't know what should I do now?

Bfsw Brother,

Review required means that your file has to be checked by a senior official. It is going to take time. Upon checking, they may issue doc request, or they may send medical request.

Have patience.
