One of my friend want to raise a GCMS notes to get update the status of his application.

Can any one help with the complete process of raising the GCMS Notes.

His timeline is follows.


Application Received - 22 November 2015
PER Received on - 10 February 2015
AOR Received on - 22 March 2015.

If you have someone in Canada then you can request for GCMS note only 5CAD

For both you have to supply your UCI number, DOB, Name and consent document IMM5475

No problem. It might be happened. If any further documentation or site verification required then inform to HR to give the clarification.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 27, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 27, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on March 4, 2015.
4. We transferred your application to the Singapore office on December 16, 2014. The Singapore office may contact you.
5. We sent you correspondence on March 17, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
6. We sent you medical instructions on March 17, 2015. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
7. Medical results have been received.
8. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.
9. We sent you correspondence on July 31, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

we need few more times to understand the new changes in ecas. I wish i could upload the sample of 9 lines Ecas i hv seen ! I really dont know how to upload that pdf file in the forum. I want everybody to see it so that we can discuss in details. Can anyone help me to upload that? Pls pm me your email so that i can send it and he can arrange upload here.

Is it a sample ECAS? It does not correspond to your timeline! Existing ECAS will automatically be converted to this new one...right!

Aminul bhai, recently an applicant completed his long processing with 9 line in Ecas.previously, CIC used to update/complete Ecas in 4 line and do other correspondances by email. Now if u miss any email, u can know from Ecas. New format is seemed to be helpful. But i m not sure whether new format will take more time or not.

i think this new ecas format hasn't been applied to all the applicants yet. Because, my ecas is still showing only one line. What about you?

I got 2nd line update (Processing started) on 06.08.15 and now waiting for medical.
You got just 1st line in Ecas, gradually u will get other lines. But one thing sure that we can see every step update in Ecas from now, like when they will send MR/Documents request by email they will give an update in Ecas. Previously it was just an update of medical received. Other correspondences used to be done by email. So anyone if misses email notifications, can understand and contact CIC after seeing Ecas.

Dear forum mates,
please update your profile NOC with profession name. Just using only NOC code in profile can't help others to understand you have applied from which profession.It is not possible to remember 50 professions as per NOC Code. So if anyone gets updates in Ecas, others can't understand his profession. Eventually can't understand which profession CIC is now giving priority. Since this forum has been made to help each other, i believe that my proposal should be cordially accepted by all. Look at my profile on left and follow. (HRM).

In that case, your Ecas should b updated by atleast 3 lines and mine by 2 lines ( since I got 1 line) according to this new Ecas Format??

My question is will it be updated for previous steps of all applicants or from now on??
