I have a confusion. The settlement fund which we need to proof to cic, is it including air ticket cost or not. In my sense, air ticket is huge cost from Dhaka to Toronto about CAD2000. So I have raised this question that should we show total settlement fund to canada immigration or the air tickets deducted amount

Brother, an air ticket is a purchased item. You will have used it up by the time you meet an officer at the airport. Even a return-ticket is a purchased item. So, how can that be part of the "settlement" fund? lol.

In the reality, who has no any job or relative in CA, it is simple that there will be required at least CAD10,000 for a person to survive there in first year. If you think this way your settlement fund (as CIC asked for) can cover by this reality, as everyone knows that none of can get suitable job immediately at CA after landed except survival job. That backup fund will help you and reduce your frustration because in general no one will help you from financial perspective. As you know frustration can kill any person..... and reduces efficiency...

This is the reason that there is no question arised during immigration process at CA airport that how much money you need to carry at first time landing against PR visa. Visa office knows very well that you need that fund by anyhow either now or later...

Cheers!

FOSS (Field Operating Support System): The "FOSS (Field Operating Support System)" is an electronic system that keeps a record on every Canadian immigration and visa application made within Canada at the port of entry. FOSS notes are required to be detailed, and if an application is refused, the reason for the refusal should be explicit in the notes.

FOSS is Citizenship and Immigration Canada (“CIC“) and CBSA’s shared database. It contains millions of records about all CBSA and CIC contacts with non-Canadian citizens. It specifically contains information on any immigration records and violations. It is gradually being rolled into CIC’s Global Case Management System (“GCMS“).

The FOSS enforcement database includes information about previous and pending deportations, overextended stays by visitors, individuals who fail to present themselves for Immigration hearing or voluntary departures, warrants used by immigration, Interpol information on suspected and known terrorists, intelligence lookouts and individuals refused at ports of entry. It also contains the “work in progress” or “watch for” information.

Here "FOSS : N" contains no records found as my understanding.....

Third line was updated three months ago . What could be the reasons behind the delay in the decison making? I got
Only 4 travel history and two pccs.

From this forum, generally we have seen that 4011 NOC processing smoothly without any delay, however there are some applicants are delayed means there are some reasons in behind.

In general 4~6 weeks time to PPR after Medical Done and 3rd line update but your case is delayed from that timing, reason could be -

1. Your travel history security check still in process.
2. Medical test result.

In that case you need to wait.. Meantime you can raise CSE for nocking them about your file.

Best of luck..
