Thanks, brother. You kept your words by providing references to Bangladesh Bank circulations. But, regarding point 13, who is going to do all that?! I can imagine the bureucratic faces (even of the doormen) if I visit the Canadian High Commission in Dhaka and ask them to issue me a certificate of some kind that recommends the typical expenses of a Bangladeshi family in Canada for a decent living.

Dear All,
This is the Master Circular of Bangladesh Bank issued on 2009 for releasing "right of landing fee/permanent residence fee". After this circular, No Bank can deduct your TQ limit for "right of landing fee/permanent residence fee".
If any Bank issue DD for "right of landing fee/permanent residence fee" against deducting Travel Quota (TQ) limit ; you can educate him/her by addressing the below Circular (but remember; if you pay this fee by your Credit Card; it will deduct from your yearly TQ):

GUIDELINES FOR FOREIGN EXCHANGE TRANSACTIONS

SUMMARISING: Instructions as of 31 May, 2009 issued to Authorised Dealers and Money Changers in Foreign Exchange.

Remittance of immigration visa processing fees, evaluation fees, right of landing fee: Chapter-11, Para-98; page number-102

12. Immigration visa processing fees and evaluation fees for evaluation of educational certificates, demanded by foreign Immigration Authorities from resident Bangladesh nationals applying for immigration visa, may be remitted by ADs as per demand notes of the Foreign Immigration Authorities, on approach by the applicants. Besides, ADs may also allow remittance on account of 'right of landing ree/permanent residence fee' required for resident Bangladesh nationals finally proceeding abroad for migration. Such fees may be remitted in favour of Immigration Authority abroad upon establishment of bonafide of the demand. While processing the case of remittance on account of right of landing fee/permanent residence fee, ADs are advised to obtain the following papers/documents from the applicant:
(i) application of the candidate;
(ii) copy of passport;
(iii) fee schedule;
(iv) letter from authority (demand note/offer letter);
(v) Nikah-nama (for spouse who has been selected);
(vi) copy of Medical Report;
(vii) money receipt for medical check-up.
Such remittances shall be reported to the area offices of Bangladesh Bank in the usual monthly returns alongwith relevant TM Forms.

Family maintenance abroad by resident Chapter-11, Para-98; page number-102

13. Applications for remittance of moderate amounts of foreign exchange for maintenance of family members (dependent parents, spouses and children) living abroad may be forwarded by ADs to the Bangladesh Bank for consideration and prior approval. Each application should be supported by a certificate issued by the relevant Bangladesh Embassy regarding residency of the beneficiaries, extent of income abroad alongwith the Embassy's recommendation as to moderate requirement for family maintenance purpose. The certificate should also indicate the purpose for which the family member(s) went abroad, reasons for continued residence abroad and the probable period of stay abroad.

Hello friends,
I am planning to land on early july. Can anyone please tell me, what is the convenient place to stay in Toronto (for short term 1-4 months until I get my PR card)? As for POF I am still in doubt how can I take the required amount of money legally with me. According to my research it is mandatory to take the settlement funds with you (the officer can ask for POF and they can deny entry according to CIC rules if I am unable to show the POF) and from Bangladesh I can't take more than 7000 USD with me as a single person (I have already talked with SCB regarding this). Can anyone please shed light on that.

Thanks for your help.

I am adding a landing experience of a Bangladeshi resident on 10 Apr 2010 and there are mentions about the POF at the time of landing. Please provide your valuable comments on that also - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/question-to-leonproof-of-fund-at-the-time-of-landing-t38653.0.html;msg261405#msg261405

Hi friends,
Its been long I got 2nd letter from Singapore office (precisely 13 March) informing that they received my papers. How long it will take to get letter for medical? What is the common interval time between paper receiving letter and medical letter? Another thing I want to know, if I get rejected will they send any letter or how could I check that? Getting worried day by day...
May Allah always be with us...
Thanks.

Good to hear that. Unfortunately there was no site visit in my case, though according to my february GCMS there should be one. I dont know whether they have lost my application or not.

I am beginning to think, those from May, June who doesn't got any update from SGVO are stuck in the verification pool of the local high commission in Dhaka. SGVO most
likely sorted the applications and send those needed site verification to local CHC and focusing on the application from August. Also they outsourced the July application to
Manila.
