nope. it will not do.
For MRP an address must be in DMP area.
I tried with ward counselor certificate during CIC app stage. but they denied to accept my application at DMP HQ.

Can anyone tell me if 5 months old PCC will do with SGVO.
I have a set of PCC (me and wife) which was issued 23-nov-2014. will this do?

Whats the address mentioned in ur MRP? Is ur current address of MRP mentioned outside Dhaka? Or maybe I missed ur question..I got my PCC with word counselor certificate thats y i mentioned that

You are welcome.
I have given my relative's Canadian address to the immigration officer. After 5 days, I saw the address reflected in my ECAS.
The furnished apartment was only for 8 days, as I mentioned earlier, I went for 'short landing'. Will move permanently later on InshaAllah.

Hello Brother,
Could you please explain what does 'Short landing' means? I thought you are passing transit time before start living permanently in Mississauga? Well, if you have a plan to come back before getting PR Card in hand, does it mean that you'll come back to Bangladesh after 8 days and your relative will send your PR Card in BD so that you can re-enter Canada later? So far, I know Immigration Visa is valid for single entry with 1 year or upto passport validity and PR Card is necessary to re-enter as it is count as like as visa to re-enter Canada. One question, if you wish to leave Canada before having PR Card then is it necessary to inform the immigration that you are leaving the country without PR Card? As because they don't have any border immigration during leaving so no question of record whether how long did you spent after entry? Because this is necessary later on to apply for citizenship that how long did you stay in Canada after each entry.

Regards

There is no doubt on your Landing fee payment procedure from your email.
It seems SGVO already prepared this email more than two months ago but forgot to send you... :o :o :o
Recently CIC has changed the payment procedure for all Bangladeshi applicant for Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=BD&lob=rprf

I assume however we can pay RPRF through online and there is no any confusion from CIC website (if anyone wants to pay) but it is more safe for BD applicant to pay through Bank Draft though it is like little hassle.

Wish your process will go smoothly in soonest time.

Best of luck. :) :)

Dear Brother,
Could you please explain, why did you say "it is more safe for BD applicant to pay through Bank Draft"? The fact is that, before sending documents + RPRF, you must pay RPRF and attach the online payment receipt as a proof, so no question of returning back like when we applied for FSW 2014 first time to CIC, NS, CA. So I guess it should be priority to choose all positive applicant to pay RPRF online which is less time consuming, as one person mentioned earlier in this forum that it took 2 months to encash the DD and obviously no question of security (Safe/Un-safe)!

Regards

U r absolutely right. Online payment is the best. Now a days cic handle and encourage all payment by online cc. It is safe and fast. DD with SCB is always very disgusting. Personally I suggest cc payment through online. Just need an international cc, u can pay with ur fnds cc also.

Thank you bhaiya for your very important informative post. It will help us a lot for preparing ourselves.

Could you shed some light on the admission process in to the Diploma courses to Sennecca, centenial or other colleges for newly immigrant??

Thnaks

for admission in colleges you need credential assessment of your educational docs...you need to send all your original educational docs [HSC and undergrads] with one full set of photocopy to ICAS or WES [my recommendation is ICAS]......it will cost around CAD300 & will take about 8-12 weeks.

Hello Bhai,

Thanks for the tips - Bangla style.

You mentioned about computers and suggested to take computers from Bangladesh but how do we deal with the voltage issue? Here, in BD, we have the 220V system but in Canada they have 110V. Are adapters/converters so common these days there? Pls share your exp.

now a days all laptop chargers are compatible with different voltages. If your laptop is not that much older [older than 2001] you will see in-put voltage is 100-240 volt. So don't worry about that. I brought my laptop from BD and it's working fine here. You just need a 2/3 pin plug converter which will cost around CAD 6-10

Wow! So simple! So simple that I missed it. I could have just flipped the charger and read the voltage rating! Hihihihi. Thx.

Thanks , is there any new CIIP program at Dhaka ? I want to attend already registered .

Bhaiya,

Well, if I am not wrong, most of us from Bangladeshi applicant has not int'l credit card or we don't have any close relative stay outside of the country who is bother to make this kind of payment. I don’t know about others but from me, even I have relative but I will not bother to them to make for me, because I want to make it happened by myself without any help from others.... ;D ;D, this is only my personal issue....only for my family....

The reason I mention "Safe" is not from CIC point of view. I mentioned it if anyone wants to make this payment through online by third party credit card (known but not sure). Also I assume that our local dual currency credit card has many complications for this kind of payment from respective bank if there is some forex act violation.

In that point I assume all Bangladeshi has limited option through credit card payment compare to Bank DD where always even though from SGVO mentioned in their email/website based on I mentioned it "Safe".

Yes CIC has given those options from Bangladeshi applicant, who can pay online but I am sure this option not for free for any Bangladeshi national who wants to pay by their own credit card from home country like other country, because everyone knows that it is not easy to make payment from Bangladesh credit card for this kind of payment. All though if anyone wants to make payment from their dual currency credit card then the credited amount has been blocked from his/her annual TQ limit and need to endorse in passport which is not wise decision for future fund carry to CA.

I hope my "Safe" explanation is not for debate on CC vs DD. :P :P

Bhaiya,

For validity point of view it is acceptable if you can send it now because it is 4.5 months time till today.

But suggest to provide PCC within 3 months of time from issuing date and valid for 6 months.
Also I want to suggest you to collect new PCC for you and your spouse without delay if any case SGVO reject your old PCC if you want to send it now.

Hope it will help you..
