As you have hired an agent then the PER mail will be delivered to his mail address. You can see your E-CAS. That means you have receives your UCI number or the file number from your agent. But in your earlier msg you mentioned that you received AOR mail from SGVO. But didn't mention whether the mail was received in your mail or your agent's. But anyway your file is now with SGVO. So congrats. And pls get enlisted in the Global SS. Below is the link for you..........

Thanks a lot Raisa for ur advice. It is really appreciative. Actually I received an e-mail reagarding AOR. I will talk to my agent then, they handed over all the correspondence so far from CIC but they didnt mention about the PER. What is basically written in PER if you can tell me then it would be easier to ask the agent about it? Are they verifying the work place of the applicant now-a-days while processing the file?? Thank you......

Here is my story...
Take the time to read it.
If nothing, you might at least save a few pennies and a couple of sleepless nights.
I have been a silent viewer on this forum, I have read a lot of arguments and I appreciate the zeal of most people.
The positive approach some people have displayed in spite of all the negative and discouraging information is really inspiring.

Dear Experts,
Could you please explain me what are AOR and PER and which comes first? I received an email on 10.11.2014 saying that "This confirms that your application fo rpermanent residence in Canada has been received by CItizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/06/03." Is this email related to any of them?

PER is positive eligibility recommendation=== it comes from CIC
AOR is Acknowledgment of Receipt=== it comes from Visa Office

PER comes first........

Thanks for sharing. Please give me some advise as i m planning to land in calgary in sep'15, if everything goes smoothly. I am the main applicant working in an int'l oil & gas co in my country as accounts payable. My spouse is in trade business here, obviously he will look for job over there. My spouse has done MBA, can work in commercial dpt for LC/ export -import/ shiping line etc.So what sort of course we should go through after landing to land a decent job.

Is it wise to choose Calgary? As you have mention Ontario is best.

Thanks in advance.
