carrying cash beyond endorsed limit is illegal and risky.

I fully agree. But people like us, who do not have bank account in Canada, and no RFCD account in Bangladesh; what can we do?

The only option remains is to do travellers check for one portion, and carry the rest in Cash. If anyone has other solutions, please let us know

Bro, PER time doesn't vary with NOC, what happens is just few days early or late PER may happen due to fee charging method like CC or DD etc, BTW you can get clear picture of probable PER date from global SS, there u will see PER progress date by date...good luck
I think sir NOC affect PER date.even mine was DD and aDD takes longer time for encashment but despite of this i got PER in 2 months and 22 days.they processed my NOC on fast track in previous days.even applicant of my NOC of date 1st October has also got PER after me.i have seen even 1st week of september applicants of other NOCs who have not yet received PER even CC or DD of many have been charged since 1 month

No sir NOC do not matter getting PER.....The difference occurs only because of their Sorting Criteria and verification of submitted documents I believe

To all those who are confused on how to carry Proof of Fund (in Canadian dollar or equivalent).

Recent Bangladesh Bank regulation allows up to USD 7000 per person per year for travel to non saarc destinations (including Canada).

So a couple can carry upto 14000 USD legally ( 7000 each) which is equivalent to 16000 Canadian dollar.

In spite of this clear instruction passengers face unavoidable circumstance prior to board in the flight... this year I traveled to a Non Saarc country carrying just USD950. They were asking me.. "Ato keno nichen..?? koydin thakben..??"  .. "Bangla taka koto nichen...???"

Exactly what I wanted to say.... their voice and way of talking to all of us was indicating desire for giving panic and make some money... that's why I answered to stop them.. "Have we exceeded quota for this year"??

That's why one of my brother in law took full Immigration police protection (as his father was a police) until boarding into plane during migrating to Australia this year.. no one could ask them any single question..

Two things drive them:
1. desire (as you mentioned) and
2. envy

Re: To do list before migrating to Canada

Drug coverage is available while you will have in- patient hospital admission only.
Vitamins are not that much costly, but much higher than Bangladesh.
While you will be in Canada, every penny will be of value untill you settle yourself economically.
You will get most of the job without own vehicle, but at some point you will need your own vehicle, getting driving license is a prerequisite if that.
If you have driving license more than 4 or 5 years old ( I am not sure about the timeline), you will get waiver of time needed to seat for G exam after getting G1 license, If you have 1 or 2 years experience, you may take G2 test soon after getting G1 license. Normally you can seat for G2 road test 1 year after getting your G1 license.
