i am planning to settle in Edmonton, Alberta. Brother I am telling that do we need to bring the same amount of money that we mentioned in initial app? We can bring suppose 5k USD. frankly speaking and telling the practical situation here that we know everyone the term "Hundy". Regulation dont support u to bring the money but u need to transfer the money. thats the only solution. and this solution also discussed by sumon bhai in our get together in ramadan. initially u can bring small amount of money. when u reach there u can transfer the money (ur relatives or friend can do it for u in bd) through this sort of third party service. as an example told that we don't need to bring any single penny.

Thanks Mr. Ziafsw bro,

Yeah we all know about HUNDI. But initially can we get 5K +5k (for spouse) & for kids under 18, how much we r allowed i dont know. Since u r senior in this forum may be your pals who already moved, can guide us about this matter.

by the way sister here.

thanks again.

I am not in favor of money laundering (Hundi).

So you can do travellers cheque for USD 5000, and carry the rest amount in cash. If you are married, you can do two travellers cheque ( one in your name, another in spouse's name, and carry the rest in cash)

Dear all, one of our forumite "Ahsan99" got his PER on 15 Dec., App Received: 23 Sep. Considering avg PER time (4 months) i think he is lucky to get PER early. It took only 2 month and 22 days for him to get PER after submission of application.

My app received on 10th Oct. it is almost 2 month & 20 days. Can I expect my PER within 1/2 week? does PER time varies depends on based on NOC?

anyway, congratz ahsan99 vai.

Hi,

You can create a RFCD account if you have been abroad in the last 1 year. If you create such, you can deposit USD 5000 for the travel of the past 1 year and USD 5000 each subsequent visit from now on out of the country, legally. And when going to canada you can take the whole amount of the account by making a DD in your name.

The process of creating an account is very simple, all you have to do is go to your bank with your passport and ask them that you want to create one. They'll check the recent arrival date in Bangladesh, and ask you to fill up an account creation form and also a RFCD declaration form. When your account gets activated, you can purchase the USD from money exchanges and deposit the amount in your account. Pls remember that you can deposit only once for each travel you make abroad, and up to usd 5000.

The account creation might take 1 week or less. But its legal. Also you'll be provided an international debit card against your account with which you can do many many things, such as buying air tickets which can be done through most international credit cards.

Hope this information helps the ones who'll be traveling shortly. Thanks.

Bro, PER time doesn't vary with NOC, what happens is just few days early or late PER may happen due to fee charging method like CC or DD etc, BTW you can get clear picture of probable PER date from global SS, there u will see PER progress date by date...good luck

brother what is gcms? is it anything that we need must? is it any step that we have to start by us? I mean if I don't think about this step will it harm my application? is it must have or necessary part of permanent residence visa application? 2 person travel cheque 10K USD = 11500 CAD. Carry the rest in cash. Yes there's risk, but you have to take this risk.I traveled abroad many times, never faced any problem carrying cash above endorsed limit (but not 50 -60 k ).

3. If you do it then you are proving that you have switched the job. So yes as a proof.

4. No you don't need to. If SGVO wants then they will let you know.

5. The link in answer 2.

Many many thanks for your informative reply.
