Dear all,
This is Rakib from Ontario Canada. Its almost been a year since I arrived here ( 23-Nov-2013). I strongly recommend the following issues to be considered by you before migrating to Canada:

1.Driving license: It is a need, not a luxury. If you do not have driving experience in Bangladesh, do NOT put much effort on it in Bangladesh. Driving rules are different in Canada. So it is better to take lesson in Canada.

Follow the link below and go through the driving book. It will help you a lot.
http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/handbook/

Get the G1 license ASAP after coming to Canada.

2.Bring with you vitamin B complex, vitamin D and Zinc sufficient to cover for 2 years. Do not bring excess antibiotics. Due to less exposure to sunlight, serum vitamin D level gets lower commonly in Canada.

3. If you have plan for study, explore your options while in Bangladesh and apply ASAP either from Bangladesh or soon after arriving to Canada.

Migrating to a new country is always challenging. So set your mind accordingly. Be determined to face any odds.

Invest your time to increase your listening skill, with attention to canadian accent.

Wish you all the very best. Please keep me and my family in your prayer.
Take care.
Rakib.
London, Ontario, Canada

It will obviously be an advantage. you need to demonstrate french proficiency, certificate won't help much...

Mr. Rakib,
Thanks a lot for sharing these. Why we need to bring Vitamins? R those very expensive over there? R we not entitled medical coverage?
If we dont have driving license & car, will we get job/work without own vehicle? How long does it take to get driving license?

Thanks again.

Drug coverage is available while you will have in- patient hospital admission only.
Vitamins are not that much costly, but much higher than Bangladesh.
While you will be in Canada, every penny will be of value untill you settle yourself economically.
You will get most of the job without own vehicle, but at some point you will need your own vehicle, getting driving license is a prerequisite if that.
If you have driving license more than 4 or 5 years old ( I am not sure about the timeline), you will get waiver of time needed to seat for G exam after getting G1 license, If you have 1 or 2 years experience, you may take G2 test soon after getting G1 license. Normally you can seat for G2 road test 1 year after getting your G1 license.

Hi, I am confused about the newly introduced column in CIC website "Applications we will accept – Federal skilled workers" page's 'Pending applications (Complete applications waiting for MI Acceptance Review)'. What does it actually means? Initial Checkup done, DD en-cashed? And can you tell me data that was updated in 19th December reflects which month of applicants that are through to this process?

Thanks for your reply.

Just one question........ just cross check general verification .......

In my PCC there is

1) Deputy commissioner of police (seal and sign)(permanent residence area)

2) officer in charge (seal and signature)(application idetification no.)

3) one stop service (seal)

4) Foreign ministry(seal and application idetification no.)

Is it ok?

Just for check . any thing else except these?

Perfect as far as i can recall..

My application received dated 5th Sept. and i have collected my PCC dated Auggust 1, my DD encashed 2nd Dec . waiting for PER. what do you think , do i need new PCC when i received MR/RPRF/PCC , inshaallah. My calculation , if everything goes smoothly inshaallah than i will receive MR March,2015. So on that time PCC will be 8 month old. What go u think ? do i need new PCC or old one will be ok.
