Dear Fellow Seniors,
Is there is any chance till 7th October, 2014 for 2171? Can I still keep my hope alive? Is there is any way to send my query to CIC right now?
Please have your valuable opinion on this matter.
Regards,
Razesh

According to CIC update on 20 Nov, NOC 2171 has been capped.
The question here is what was the last application that passed completeness check and CC/DD charged.

One thing is very surprising for NOC 2171..
Cap jumped from 553 (as of 12NOV) to 1000 (as of 20Nov) in 8 days!.
It's unbelievable that they processed 447 applications of NOC 2171 in 5 working days.

I guess CIC is following a different strategy for hot NOCs. Once an NOC reaches above 600-700, they just roughly count the number of applications in the queue (that are not opened yet), and add some rejection factor (like 10% [incomplete applications, failed CC charges]), then update the website CAP to 1000 to stop new applicants from submitting more applications for that particular NOC.

As an example, NOC 2171 already crossed 553 applications (completeness check done as of 12Nov). And they found out on 20Nov that they still have 700 pending applications in the queue. They will immediately update the cap to 1000 to avoid receiving more applications.

If this is the case, then the cap update doesn't represent the number of applications passed completeness check.

I guess the next cap update will show NOC 2132 and NOC 3012 as 1000 capped.

Do you think this might be correct (specially for HOT NOCs)?

plz advise whether Bangladesh hand written passport still accepted by Canada high commission for visa????????????? any one faced problem with old hand written passport???????? thanks

Vaia,

U can do any of one thing:

1. Send a CSE to SG informing new PP information with the scanned copy of this New PP. Ask them if u need to do any further action (usually they dont ask that)..

https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=singapore

or

2. Send a copy of new PP with a cover letter via courier (Fedex/DHL/UPS)

courier to the local VO address....

I have seen lots & lots of applicants question about how to make an enquiry or should the inquire or where should they inquire? Month ago i have shared my experience about making an enquiry. Where i mentioned that i emailed using the both enquiry address of CIC. One is the CSE site & another is the centralized-intake-office@cic.gc.ca I got reply from both of them. My application reached on July 14 and i sent an enquiry about my application status on July 18. Yes just after 4 days. Again on August 17 i emailed. This time i used the CSE. On October 1st i received a mail from CIO that they don't have any record of my application. And by this time all of you know that when CIC doesn't put your application for completeness check they will say that they don't have any record of your application. Anyway they asked to provide courier name and to give scan copy of the courier receipt. I did accordingly. But again i used CSE as well as CIO mail. On October 15th i received a mail from CIO, YES CIO(within 14 days) that they have received my application and it's in processing and they will contact with me. In the meantime On November 6th i received PER. And as usual i forgot about the enquiry that i did through CSE. And last few days i didn't check my mail. Today when i checked my mail i saw that i got a reply from CSE email. And they informed me that my file has already been transferred to SGVO :D :D ;D ;D.

SO, what do we learn from here? Applicant's there is no reason to be afraid off making an enquiry early. And you can both use the CIO mail address as well as CSE site. You will definitely receive an answer. And you can inquire anything regarding your application. So stop worrying. Send an inquiry as early as possible. After reading my info if you don't or can't understand they i donno what to say. My info is very very crystal clear about making an enquiry using CSE & CIO address.
